Liam Charles
Liam Charles (born 28 August 1997) is a British baker, television presenter and contestant from Series 8 of ''The Great British Bake Off''. He is currently a presenter on '' Bake Off: The Professionals'' and a judge on '' Junior Bake Off''. Education Charles was a student at Goldsmiths University in London, where he studied Drama and Theatre Arts. Career Television Charles first came to public attention as a contestant in ''The Great British Bake Off'' in 2017, being knocked out in the 8th week. He came fifth in the competition. In 2018, he was chosen to co-present '' Bake Off: The Professionals'' with comedian Tom Allen. In November 2018, he also presented the baking programme ''Liam Bakes'' on Channel 4. In November 2019 Charles and Prue Leith were the new judges for ''Junior Bake Off'' after a two year absence. Harry Hill was the presenter. Hackney is a district in East London, England, forming around two-thirds of the area of the modern London Borough of Hackney, to which it gives its name. The Platinum Pudding is a British pudding consisting of a lemon and amaretti trifle. It was created by Jemma Melvin in 2022 for a competition celebrating the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. Competition The Platinum Pudding Competition was founded in 2021 by Fortnum & Mason, developing the original concept that was the idea of British diplomat and food, culture, and travel writer Ameer Kotecha and former British diplomat and curator Jason Kelly, who shared their idea with Fortnum & Mason in order to deliver it on behalf of the nation. A platinum jubilee is a celebration held to mark an anniversary. Among monarchies, it usually refers to a 70th anniversary. The most recent monarch to celebrate a platinum jubilee is Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms in June 2022. The celebrations were delayed from the actual February anniversary and the ceremony occurred on a four-day Bank Holiday on June 2, 2022, as was announced earlier. Elizabeth II died on September 8, 2022, shortly after the official celebrations in the Commonwealth took place.
