Liam Benzvi
Liam Benzvi is an American singer-songwriter and composer. Benzvi has released one solo EP, ''Amnesia, USA'', and one solo LP, ''Acts of Service''. Benzvi has released two albums with the band Strange Names. He lives and works in New York. Early life and education Benzvi was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Benzvi attended New York's LaGuardia High School and he went on to study at the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater BFA Actor Training Program. Career Benzvi has a baritone voice and his music is known for its sultry shoegaze and dream pop qualities. Benzvi, Francis Ximenez, and Fletcher Aleckson are founding members of the Brooklyn-based new wave-pop band Strange Names. Frou Frou (band)
Frou Frou () are a British electronic duo composed of musician Imogen Heap and producer/songwriter Guy Sigsworth. They released their only album, ''Details,'' in 2002. The duo wrote, produced, and played instruments on the tracks, while Heap also provided lead vocals. In 2004, they recorded a cover of "Holding Out for a Hero" by Bonnie Tyler, which was used in the credits of the 2004 film ''Shrek 2''. Frou Frou amicably disbanded later that year. Blonde Redhead is an American alternative rock band composed of Kazu Makino (vocals, keys/rhythm guitar) and twin brothers Simone and Amedeo Pace (drums/keys and lead guitar/bass/keys/vocals, respectively) that formed in New York City in 1993. Susan Janet Ballion (born 27 May 1957), known professionally as Siouxsie Sioux, is an English singer, songwriter, musician and record producer. She was the lead singer of the rock band Siouxsie and the Banshees (1976–1996). The B-52's
The B-52's, also styled as The B-52s, are an American new wave band formed in Athens, Georgia, in 1976. The original lineup consisted of Fred Schneider (vocals, percussion), Kate Pierson (vocals, keyboards, synth bass), Cindy Wilson (vocals, percussion), Ricky Wilson (guitar), and Keith Strickland (drums, guitar, keyboards). Ricky Wilson died of AIDS-related illness in 1985, and Strickland switched from drums to lead guitar. The band also added various members for albums and live performances. The Drums
The Drums are an American indie pop band from New York City. Formation Founding members Jonathan (Jonny) Pierce and Jacob Graham became friends as children, having met at Bible camp at age 11 or 12. Some years later, they formed a short-lived electro-pop group initially named Goat Explosion, eventually renamed Elkland. They released one album, ''Golden'', in 2005 and garnered interest with the single "Apart". In 2008, Pierce and Graham came up with the concept for The Drums, and Pierce moved to Kissimmee, Florida, where Graham resided at the time, so that they could more readily collaborate. They then moved to Brooklyn, in the spring of 2009, where drummer Connor Hanwick and former Elkland guitarist Adam Kessler joined the band to complete their live sound.
