Li Shigu
Li Shigu (; 778 – July 19, 806) was a Chinese military general and politician of the Tang dynasty, who, as the military governor (''Jiedushi'') of Pinglu Circuit (平盧, headquartered in modern Tai'an, Shandong), ruled the circuit in a ''de facto'' independent manner from the imperial regime. Background Li Shigu was born in 778, during the reign of Emperor Daizong. His father Li Na was the military governor (''Jiedushi'') of Pinglu Circuit who ruled the circuit ''de facto'' independently from the imperial regime. He had one younger half-brother, Li Shidao. During Li Na's term as military governor, Li Shigu served as the prefect of Qing Prefecture (青州, in modern Weifang, Shandong), a position that Li Na himself had served while Li Shigu's grandfather Li Zhengji was military governor.'' Emperor Xianzong Of Tang
Emperor Xianzong of Tang (4 March to 1 April 778''Old Book of Tang'', vol. 14. – 14 February 820; r. 805 – 820), personal name Li Chun, né Li Chun (), was an emperor of the Chinese Tang Dynasty. He was the eldest son of Emperor Shunzong, who reigned for less than a year in 805 and who yielded the throne to him late that year. Once emperor, Emperor Xianzong set out to curb the power of the military governors ('' Jiedushi''), and, when they would not heed his orders, he waged wars against them. His initial campaigns were quite successful, and Xianzong's army defeated warlords such as Liu Pi, Yang Huilin () in 806 and Li Qi in 807. Emperor Shunzong Of Tang
Emperor Shunzong of Tang (February to March 761 – February 11, 806), personal name Li Song, was an emperor of the Chinese Tang Dynasty. He was created crown prince in 779 and became emperor in 805 after the death of his father Emperor Dezong, of whom he was the oldest son. His reign lasted less than a year, as, due to his illness, the powerful eunuchs were able to get him to approve a transfer of the throne to his son Li Chun, who took the throne as Emperor Xianzong. Emperor Shunzong was honored with the title of ''Taishang Huang'' (retired emperor). He died in 806, with some later historians suspecting that he was murdered by the eunuchs who arranged for Emperor Xianzong's succession. Kaifeng
Kaifeng () is a prefecture-level city in east-central Henan province, China. Han Hong () (765 – January 19, 823), formally Duke Yin of Xu (許隱公), was a general of the Tang dynasty of China, who also served as a chancellor during the reigns of Emperor Xianzong and Emperor Xianzong's son Emperor Muzong.
