Li Han Hsiang
Richard Li Han-hsiang (; 7 March 1926 in Jinxi, Liaoning – 17 December 1996 in Beijing) was a Chinese film director. Li directed more than 70 films in his career beginning in the 1950s and lasting till the 1990s. His ''The Enchanting Shadow'', ''The Magnificent Concubine'', and '' Empress Wu Tse-Tien'' were entered into the Cannes Film Festival in 1960, 1962, and 1963 respectively. Li also won the Golden Horse Film Festival and Awards for his work on the movie ''Xi Shi'' in 1965. Most of his movies in the 1970s and 1980s were Chinese historical dramas. Huludao
Huludao (), formerly known as Jinxi () until 1994, is a coastal prefecture-level city in southwestern Liaoning province, People's Republic of China. Singapore has submitted films for the Academy Award for Best International Feature Film on a fairly regular basis since 2005, although they submitted a film while still being a British colony in 1959. The award is handed out annually by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) to a feature-length motion picture produced outside the United States that contains primarily non-English dialogue. The academy selection committee reviews all the submitted films, and secret ballot voting is used to determine the five nominees. , a total of fifteen films have been submitted for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film, but none has yet received an Oscar nomination. Lisa Lu Yan (; born January 19, 1927) is a Chinese actress. She won the Golden Horse Awards three times in the 1970s. She is the only person who is a member of both the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Life Lu was born in Beijing in 1927. Her husband was Shelling Hwong (1922-1996).
