Li Dongsheng
Li Dongsheng (; born in December 1955 in Zhucheng, Shandong) was a Vice Minister of China's Ministry of Public Security and a member of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. He oversaw the office in charge of suppressing the Falun Gong and other banned spiritual groups. In 2016, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison. Career Li was born in Zhucheng, Weifang, Shandong in December 1955. He graduated from Fudan University in Shanghai, where he majored in journalism. After graduation, he began working for China Central Television (CCTV), where he operated cameras and was part of the reporting teams. Jiang Jiemin (, ; born October 1954) is a former Chinese oil executive and senior Communist Party and economic official. He was the general manager and then chairman of the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), before being appointed the director of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC) in March 2013. He was also a member of the 18th Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. In September 2013, Jiang was abruptly removed from his post and came under investigation for corruption and abuse of power, along with four other senior oil executives. Central Commission For Discipline Inspection
The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) is the highest internal control institution of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), tasked with enforcing internal rules and regulations and combating corruption and malfeasance in the party. Since the vast majority of officials at all levels of government are also Communist Party members, the commission is in practice the top anti-corruption body in China. The modern commission was established at the 3rd Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee in December 1978.
