Lewis Miller (born 24 August 2000) is an Australian professional soccer player who plays as a right back for Scottish Premiership club Hibernian and the Australia national team. Club career Central Coast Mariners In October 2019, Miller signed a scholarship contract with Central Coast Mariners, following a strong pre-season. 3 months later, in January 2020, he signed a two-year contract, upgrading him to a professional senior contract. Hibernian In June 2022 Miller signed a three-year contract for Scottish side Hibernian, effective from 1 July. He had been due to join Australian side Macarthur FC, having signed a pre-contract deal with them before the end of his contract at Central Coast Mariners, but then signed for Hibernian instead, netting Macarthur FC an undisclosed transfer fee. The 2019–20 season was the Central Coast Mariners's 15th season since its establishment in 2004. During the pre-season, Alen Stajcic signed a 3-year contract as the new coach. On 24 March 2020, the FFA announced that the 2019–20 A-League season would be postponed until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia and New Zealand, and subsequently extended indefinitely. A-League Men
A-League Men (known as the Isuzu UTE A-League for sponsorship reasons) is the highest-level professional men's soccer league in Australia and New Zealand. At the top of the Australian league system, it is the country's premier men's competition for the sport. A-League Men was established in 2004 as the A-League by the Football Federation Australia (FFA) as a successor to the National Soccer League (NSL) and competition commenced in August 2005. The league is currently are administered by the Australian Professional Leagues (APL), contested by twelve teams; eleven based in Australia and one based in New Zealand. The 2018–19 Central Coast Mariners FC season was the club's 14th season since its establishment in 2004. The club participated in the A-League for the 14th time and the FFA Cup for the fifth time. Review The Mariners were defeated in the first round of the 2018 FFA Cup by Adelaide United. This season saw the appointment of Mike Mulvey as head coach following the departure of Paul Okon late in the previous season. Mike Mulvey lasted only until round 21 before becoming the forth coach sacked in 5 seasons. In the transfer window, the club re-signed two former players: all-time top scorer Matt Simon and New Zealand midfielder Michael McGlinchey. In pre-season, Jamaican Olympic sprint champion Usain Bolt also came to the club to train on an indefinite basis.
