Levin Institute
The Neil D. Levin Graduate Institute of International Relations and Commerce (in short form, the Levin Institute) was established by Governor George Pataki and the State of New York. It is located in the Manhattan district of New York City, and is part of the State University of New York (SUNY). It is the 65th institution in the SUNY system, and is housed in the historic William and Helen Ziegler House (now named the SUNY Global Center). The institute is named in memory of Neil D. Levin, who died in the attack upon the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. George Pataki
George Elmer Pataki (; born June 24, 1945) is an American lawyer and politician who served as the 53rd governor of New York from 1995 to 2006. An attorney by profession, Pataki was elected mayor of his hometown of Peekskill, New York, and went on to be elected to the State Assembly and the State Senate. After defeating three-term incumbent Governor Mario Cuomo by a margin of three points in 1994, Pataki would go on to be elected to three consecutive terms himself. He was the third Republican since 1923 to win New York's governorship, after Thomas E. Dewey and Nelson Rockefeller. Pataki's most notable achievements as governor included the creation of a number of new health care programs, presiding over recovery efforts following the September 11 attacks, and for increasing the state's credit rating three times. William And Helen Ziegler House
The William and Helen Ziegler House (also known as the William and Helen Martin Murphy Ziegler Jr. House), located at 116 East 55th Street between Park and Lexington Avenues in the Midtown neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City, was built in 1926–27 and was designed by William Lawrence Bottomley in the Neo-Georgian syle, which Bottomley specialized in during the 1920s and 1930s. The 37.5-foot wide house's four-and-a-half story facade features Flemish blond brickwork with burnt leaders, splayed lintels and end quoins, along with paneled wood shutters and a grey slate roof that is steeply pitched with set-in dormer windows and end chimneys. The original World Trade Center (WTC) was a large complex of seven buildings in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan in New York City. It opened on April 4, 1973, and was destroyed in 2001 during the September 11 attacks.
