Levan Bezhashvili
Levan Bezhashvili (Georgian: ლევან ბეჟაშვილი; born 9 November 1974) is a Georgian lawyer and politician who has served as a Member of Parliament from the United National Movement since 2020, with previous stints in 2004–2008 and 2012–2016. A former official during the presidency of Mikheil Saakashvili, he joined the government following the Rose Revolution of 2003, becoming Deputy Minister of Justice and an influential chairman of the Legal Affairs Committee in Parliament, spearheading the Saakashvili administration's structural and legal reforms. After a brief term as Governor of Kakheti in 2008, he became chairman of the Chamber of Control, leading the audit agency as it saw its powers increase to oversee political campaign funding ahead of the 2012 parliamentary elections. United National Movement – United Opposition "Strength Is In Unity" Faction
The United National Movement – United Opposition "Strength is in Unity" Faction is one of two factions in the Parliament of Georgia, working as a coalition of MPs from several political parties, led by the United National Movement (Georgia), United National Movement and including Progress and Freedom and Victorious Georgia. It is the parliamentary wing of a previous political block first created during the 2018 Georgian presidential election, 2018 presidential election to back the candidacy of Grigol Vashadze and then reformed in 2020 to run a joint slate of candidates for 2020 Georgian parliamentary election, that year's parliamentary election. In Parliament, it is the largest grouping of the Parliamentary Opposition (and the only faction), including 20 MPs, and is currently chaired by UNM's Tinatin Bokuchava.
