Levan Berianidze
Levan Berianidze ( ka, ლევან ბერიანიძე; born 10 October 1990 in Tbilisi) is a Georgian- Armenian male freestyle wrestler. He won a bronze medal for Georgia at the 2010 World Wrestling Championships in Moscow. In 2011 he won the gold medal in Beach Wrestling. On 26 November 2014, Berianidze was given Armenian citizenship and freed from service in the Armenian army. Freestyle wrestling is a style of wrestling originated from Great Britain and the United States. Along with Greco-Roman, it is one of the two styles of wrestling contested in the Olympic Games. American high school and men's college wrestling is conducted under different rules and is termed scholastic and collegiate wrestling. American collegiate women's wrestling is conducted under freestyle rules. Freestyle wrestling, like collegiate wrestling, has its greatest origins in catch-as-catch-can wrestling.
