{{Unreferenced, date=August 2019 The Lethbridge Curling Club is an historic curling club located in Lethbridge, Alberta. The club is one of the oldest in Alberta, being founded in 1887. Back then, the club played on ponds and sloughs. A two-sheet club was set up in 1895 in the area of 4th St. and 1st Ave S. Until 1904, the club was affiliated with the Manitoba branch of the Royal Caledonian Curling Club. Alberta was not yet a province at the time. In 1910, the club was expanded to four sheets and moved to the corner of 13th St. and 4th Ave. S. The Club moved to The Civic Ice Centre, which is home to the Lethbridge Figure Skating Club in 1950 where it operated until moving to its new home in 2016. The club currently resides at the ATB Centre at 74 Mauretania Road West and has 10 sheets, among the largest in Canada. Jessie Haughian
Jessie Haughian (born Scheidegger; November 10, 1990) is a Canadian curling, curler from Turin, Alberta. She currently plays Second (curling), second for her sister Casey Scheidegger. Career Juniors Haughian won two Alberta provincial junior titles, in 2009 and 2011. In 2009 she won playing second (curling), second on her sister Casey Scheidegger, Casey's team. The team represented Alberta at the 2009 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. The team finished the round robin with a 9–3 record, but lost in the semifinal to Manitoba, skip (curling), skipped by Kaitlyn Lawes. That same season, the team won one World Curling Tour event, the 2008 Meyers Norris Penny Charity Classic. In 2011, she played second for team Nadine Scotland, Nadine Chyz, and represented Alberta at the 2011 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. Casey Scheidegger
Casey Scheidegger (born January 31, 1988) is a Canadian curler from Lethbridge, Alberta. She is a former provincial junior champion and is currently a skip on the World Curling Tour. Career Juniors Scheidegger won the 2009 Alberta Junior Curling championships with teammates Kalynn Park, younger sister Jessie Haughian, and Jayme Coutts. The rink represented Alberta at the 2009 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, where they finished the round robin in second place with a 9–3 record. However, they lost the semi-final to Manitoba's Kaitlyn Lawes. Women's Scheidegger has been playing in World Curling Tour events since the 2004–05 season. As of the 2019–20 season, she has played in 19 Grand Slam events, including the 2009, 2010, 2011, 2013 and 2014 editions of the Autumn Gold Curling Classic, which is no longer a Grand Slam event. 2019 Canadian Curling Club Championships
The 2019 Canadian Curling Club Championships was held from November 25 to 30 at the Leduc Curling Club in Leduc, Alberta. In the Men's final, Paul Moffatt's rink from the Kitchener-Waterloo Granite Club in Ontario defeated the Jasmin Gibeau rink from the Club de Curling Thurso in Quebec 10-5 to claim the title. It was the KW Granite Club's first victory at the Club Championships. In the bronze medal game, Northern Ontario's Ben Mikkelsen rink from the Port Arthur Curling Club shut out the Tyler Williams rink from the Whitehorse Curling Club in Yukon 12–0. Royal Caledonian Curling Club
The Royal Caledonian Curling Club (RCCC), branded as Scottish Curling is a curling club in Edinburgh, Scotland. It developed the first official rules for the sport, and is the governing body of curling in Scotland. The RCCC was founded on 25 July 1838 in Edinburgh, and granted its royal charter by Queen Victoria in 1843, after she had witnessed a demonstration of the sport played on the polished ballroom floor of Scone Palace the previous year. 2010 The Dominion Curling Club Championships
The 2010 Dominion Curling Club Championship was held November 23–28 at the Charlottetown and Cornwall Curling Clubs in Charlottetown and Cornwall, Prince Edward Island. It is the second incarnation of this event. Saskatchewan's Sutherland Curling Club won the men's event, having to win four straight games in the process after finishing the pool round in a three-way tie for second place at a 4–2 record. They defeated Ontario in the final, a team that had been undefeated until that point (including a pool victory over Saskatchewan).
