Gwar
Gwar, often stylized as GWAR, is an American heavy metal band formed in Richmond, Virginia in 1984, composed of and operated by a frequently rotating line-up of musicians, artists and filmmakers collectively known as Slave Pit Inc. After the death of frontman and lead singer Dave Brockie in 2014, the group has continued without any of its founding members. Identified by their distinctively grotesque costumes, Gwar's core thematic and visual concept revolves around an elaborate science fiction-themed mythology which portrays the band members as barbaric interplanetary warriors, a narrative which serves as the basis for all of the band's albums, live shows and media. Thrash Metal

Hardcore punk (also known as simply hardcore) is a punk rock music genre and subculture that originated in the late 1970s. It is generally faster, harder, and more aggressive than other forms of punk rock. Slave Pit Inc. is the artist collective, production company and independent record label created for releasing projects by the heavy metal band Gwar and related side projects such as Mensrea and Locus Factor. ''War Party'' is the ninth studio album by the heavy metal band Gwar. It was released on October 26, 2004, being the band's first album in DRT Entertainment. The album was released to positive reviews. Overview After ''Violence Has Arrived'', Gwar switched labels from Metal Blade to DRT Entertainment. ''War Party'' was released on October 26, 2004, and continues the decidedly heavier focus reintroduced in ''Violence Has Arrived''. ''War Party'' is the most political Gwar album since ''America Must Be Destroyed'', tackling such subject matter as the 2004 American election and the war in Iraq in such songs as "Bring Back the Bomb", "Krosstika", "War Party", "The Reaganator" and "You Can't Kill Terror". ''Beyond Hell'' is the tenth studio album by Gwar. Released on August 29, 2006, by DRT Entertainment, the album was originally announced through the band's official website on February 23, 2006. Unlike the band's output since 2001, it is a concept album and a rock opera, centering on Gwar's journey to Hell as they escape from the attacking armies of humanity. Overview The concept of this album is the closest thing to a rock opera that Gwar has done since '' RagNaRok''. The concept revolves around the band's journey to hell and their epic battle with the devil. The album follows the sound Gwar set with '' Violence Has Arrived'' and perfected with '' War Party''. Cory Smoot
Flattus Maximus is the name of a character and former guitarist in the American heavy metal band Gwar. He is known for his red face, white dreadlocks, dinosaur-head shoulder pads and reptile feet. The name "Flattus" is indicative of the character's signature flatulence. His speaking mannerisms suggest a childlike intelligence and naivety. The role of Flattus Maximus was played by six different people before it was retired. Dewey Rowell was the first to take the role. A sculptor, Jeffrey Rumaner, nicknamed "Stretch" played Flattus in the scenes to the video "Gor-Gor". Pete Lee portrayed the character beginning with the 1992 tour in support of the ''America Must Be Destroyed '' album and continuing to perform with the band through their next four albums. Tim Harriss portrayed him during the 1998 Halloween Tour and for the recording of ''We Kill Everything''. Zach Blair took over the role in 1999 for the recording of ''Violence Has Arrived''.
