The Let Me Entertain You Tour was the eleventh concert tour by English recording artist, Robbie Williams. The tour began in March 2015 in Europe and continued into Asia and Australasia, with over 40 shows. The tour grossed $27.1 million with 235,100 tickets sold. Background Shortly after the birth of his son, Williams announced the tour via YouTube. The video displays the pop singer walking around a neighbourhood in Los Angeles. He recites an updated, spoken word version of his hit, " Let Me Entertain You". Williams exclaimed the tour will visit new places or areas where he has not toured in a long time. The announcement was shortly followed with a posting on his official website. In May 2015, Williams performed in Israel for the first time, before 50,000 fans at Hayarkon Park in Tel Aviv. Robbie Williams
Robert Peter Williams (born 13 February 1974) is an English singer and songwriter. He found fame as a member of the pop group Take That from 1990 to 1995, and achieved commercial success after launching a solo career in 1996. "Bodies" is a song by English recording artist Robbie Williams. It was released on 12 October 2009 by EMI as the lead single from his eighth studio album ''Reality Killed the Video Star'' (2009). It received its premiere on ''The Chris Moyles Show'' on BBC Radio 1 after an interview with Williams on 4 September 2009 at 8am. It is Williams' first single release as a solo artist since "She's Madonna" in March 2007. "Bodies" entered and peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart, selling 89,000 copies in its first week and attaining his best first-week sales since "Rock DJ" in August 2000. Tripping (song)
"Tripping" is a song by British singer Robbie Williams from his sixth studio album ''Intensive Care'' (2005). The single was released as the album's lead single on 3 October 2005 through Chrysalis Records. Backed with the track "Make Me Pure", also from the same album, it was sent to radio stations around the world. Williams himself calls the song "something like a mini gangster opera" and "kind of cabaret act reggae". The rolling rhythm of the song owes much to the early work of the Clash. During the chorus Williams reaches an extremely high disco-like head voice. Lyrically the song is a bit darker than previous songs. It tells the tale of gangsters and how they "don't kill their own and they all love their mothers", before an anguished chorus of "I've taken as much as I'm willing to take". "O Fortuna" is a medieval Latin Goliardic poem which is part of the collection known as the ''Carmina Burana'', written early in the 13th century. It is a complaint about Fortuna, the inexorable fate that rules both gods and mortals in Roman and Greek mythology. In 1935–36, "O Fortuna" was set to music by German composer Carl Orff as a part of "", the opening and closing movement of his cantata ''Carmina Burana''.
