Chester Franklin
Chester Mortimer Franklin (September 1, 1889 – March 12, 1954) was an American film director and actor active mainly in the silent era. Born in San Francisco, he was the brother of Sidney A. Franklin. In the late 1910s, he co-directed with his brother Sidney several films with all-children casts for William Fox. He directed two silent horror films, the 1924 ''Behind the Curtain'' (a.k.a. ''Souls Which Pass in the Night'') and the 1927 ''The Thirteenth Hour''. Charles Gorman (actor)
Charles Gorman (1865 – January 25, 1928), was an American actor of the silent era. He appeared in more than 80 films between 1908 and 1929. He died in New York City. He was part of an act called "The Gorman Brothers". They performed in vaudeville with many stage and future film stars such Marie Dressler. Virginia Lee Corbin (December 5, 1910 – June 4, 1942) was an American silent film actress. Early years Corbin was born Laverne Virginia Corbin in Prescott, Arizona to Leon Ernest Corbin and Virginia Frances (Cox) Corbin, and she had a sister, Ruth Emilie (Corbin) Miehle De Vries Lipari. Career Corbin began her career as a child actress in 1916, when she was billed as Baby Virginia Corbin. When she was six years old, she starred in fairy-tale films made by the William Fox Company. The success of ''Jack and the Beanstalk'' (1917) was such that Fox signed Corbin to a five-year contract. In addition to her salary, the contract specified that the company would provide instruction for her education. She went on to become a youthful flapper in the 1920s.
