Let It Shine (2017 TV Series)
''Let It Shine'' is a British reality television music competition to find young men to star in '' The Band'', a new stage musical featuring the songs of Take That. It aired in January and February 2017 on BBC One. In 2018, BBC announced that ''Let It Shine'' has been cancelled after one series. The show was presented by Graham Norton and Mel Giedroyc, with Gary Barlow, Dannii Minogue and Martin Kemp serving as judges throughout the series. Amber Riley was the guest judge for the auditions, followed by Lulu for the group round. Ricki Lake was the guest judge for the first live show, Ashley Roberts for the semi-final and Peter Kay for the final. The show was won by the band Five to Five, who won the part as the band in the new musical ''The Band'', which began touring in September 2017. MediaCityUK is a mixed-use property development on the banks of the Manchester Ship Canal in Salford, Greater Manchester, England. The project was developed by Peel Media; its principal tenants are media organisations and the Quayside MediaCityUK shopping centre. The land occupied by the development was part of the Port of Manchester and Manchester Docks. Busted are an English pop punk band from Southend-on-Sea, Essex, consisting of James Bourne, Matt Willis and Charlie Simpson. Formed in 2000, the band had four UK number-one singles, won two Brit awards, released four studio albums and sold over 5 million records. Shine (Take That Song)
"Shine" is the second single taken from English pop group Take That's comeback album, '' Beautiful World'' (2006). It became Take That's sixth consecutive number one single and their tenth number-one overall, making them one of only seven acts in the history of the UK charts to have more than nine number one hits. The song is about former Take That member Robbie Williams' battle with depression. Background and release The song is written in the key signature of E flat major; however, on some live versions it is performed in D major. It later emerged that Robbie Williams was the subject of the track, written and released prior to his decision to return to the band.
