"Lets Push It" is a song recorded by British house music group Nightcrawlers (band), Nightcrawlers and released in January 1996 as the fourth Single (music), single from their only album, ''Lets Push It'' (1995). It is produced by frontman Nightcrawlers (band), John Reid, who also co-wrote it. In the UK, it peaked at number 23 in its first week at the UK Singles Chart, on 14 January. It was a notable hit also in other European countries, such as Belgium, Ireland, Scotland and Sweden. Outside Europe, the song reached number 107 in Australia. A music video was also produced to promote the single. Critical reception Pan-European magazine ''Music & Media'' wrote that the song "will undoubtedly prove to be another chart hit for the British funkateers. Its Eurodisco keyboard style is part of the rhythm section. "Let's Push It" is less funky and more dance-y, but the result is still a highly infectious groove. Nightcrawlers (band)
Nightcrawlers is a British house music project from Glasgow, Scotland, assembled by producer, DJ and vocalist John Reid (born 6 September 1963). Career Beginnings: 1992–1996 In the early 90s, the band Nightcrawlers was formed as a more soul and funk-influenced pop act and featured vocalist John Reid (who had some local success as a DJ and vocalist with a number of other acts in the late 1980s). The band signed to Island Records' 4th & Broadway record label and released their debut single "Living Inside a Dream", which failed to reach any commercial success. The band then decided to release a second single, " Push the Feeling On", which also failed to go Top 40 in its original acid jazz-styled version and so the band were dropped from Island records, splitting up not so long afterwards. The Dutch Single Top 100 or Single Top 100 is a Dutch chart, based on official physical single sales, legal downloads and since July 2013 streaming and composed by Dutch Charts. It is one of the three official charts, the other two being the Dutch Top 40 and the Mega Top 30. The difference is that these charts also include airplay data. The list is especially intended for the music industry and those who take an interest in charts. The Dutch Top 40 ( nl, Nederlandse Top 40) is a weekly music chart compiled by ''Stichting Nederlandse Top 40''. It started as a radio program titled "Veronica Top 40", on the offshore station Radio Veronica in 1965. It remained "The Veronica Top 40" until 1974, when the station was forced to stop broadcasting. Joost den Draaijer initiated the Top 40 in the Netherlands. The show currently airs on Fridays from 2 to 6 PM on Qmusic. The Irish Recorded Music Association (IRMA) is a non-profit association set up in 1999 to promote certain interests of the music industry in Ireland. "Surrender Your Love" is a song recorded by British house music group Nightcrawlers, released in May 1995 as the second single from their only album, ''Lets Push It'' (1995). Produced by American DJ and record producer MK, the song is co-written by him with John Reid and was released shortly after the previous single, "Push the Feeling On" (in France, it entered the top-50 only three weeks after "Push the Feeling On"). It became a hit in various countries, such as the UK, Finland, France and the Netherlands, where it reached the top 10. On the Eurochart Hot 100, it peaked at number 19 in June 1995. Outside Europe, the song was successful in Israel, peaking at number eight. Composition "Surrender Your Love" is very similar in sound to "Push the Feeling On" (structure, house music sonorities, vocals), and sees singer Reid returning to a more traditional verse-chorus construction. "Push the Feeling On" is a House music, house song by the Scottish music group Nightcrawlers (band), Nightcrawlers and American DJ Marc Kinchen (MK). The original version released in 1992 was also partially disco and acid jazz-influenced and was a minor chart hit in the United Kingdom. The song was later remixed extensively by Marc Kinchen, creating a series of additional remixes for the song. One remix known as "Push the Feeling On (MK Dub Revisited Edit)" became an international chart hit in 1995, reaching the top 10 in various European countries, including the UK, where it peaked at number three. In the wake of its success, the band Deletion (music industry), deleted the original version from their catalogue, reclassified the remix as the first Single (music), single from their debut album, ''Lets Push It'' (1995) and changed their genre to house music. Record Mirror
''Record Mirror'' was a British weekly music newspaper between 1954 and 1991 for pop fans and record collectors. Launched two years after the ''NME'', it never attained the circulation of its rival. The first UK album chart was published in ''Record Mirror'' in 1956, and during the 1980s it was the only consumer music paper to carry the official UK singles and UK albums charts used by the BBC for Radio 1 and ''Top of the Pops'', as well as the US ''Billboard'' charts.
