Lester Orlebeck
Lester Orlebeck (June 26, 1907 – August 2, 1970) was an American film editor and director who worked on more than 100 films and television shows between 1935 and 1970. Biography Lester was born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, to John Orlebeke and Mary Ellen Boyd. According to census records, his father's family was from Holland, and his mother's family hailed from Ireland. Lester moved to Los Angeles as a young man and found employment as a film editor and occasional director at Republic Studios. He helped make training films for the U.S. Air Force during World War II, during which time he was stationed in Dayton, Ohio. He died of a heart attack in Los Angeles, California, in 1970, at the age of 63. Sheboygan () is a city in and the county seat of Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 49,929 at the 2020 census. It is the principal city of the Sheboygan, Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Area, which has a population of 118,034. The city is located on the western shore of Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Sheboygan River, about north of Milwaukee and south of Green Bay. History Before its settlement by European Americans, the Sheboygan area was home to Native Americans, including members of the Potawatomi, Chippewa, Ottawa, Winnebago, and Menominee tribes. In the Menominee language, the place is known as ''Sāpīwǣhekaneh,'' "at a hearing distance in the woods". The Menominee ceded this land to the United States in the 1831 Treaty of Washington. ''Teaserama'' is a 1955 American low-budget sexploitation film directed by Irving Klaw. It follows the performance of a burlesque show. Plot ''Teaserama'' is presented as a documentary film, with all actors and actresses playing themselves. It opens with Bettie Page assisting Tempest Storm with her brassiere. Afterwards, when the show begins, Page separates the acts by showing placards with the names of the acts. The first Roy Rogers film shot in Trucolor, this modern day Western mixes half a dozen songs with mystery, international smuggling of silver, violence, a pack of dogs and comedy relief with one character packing a "16-shooter". Plot Roy is a "border inspector" ever on the alert for smuggling silver between Mexico and the United States. Roy's Mexican friends have told him that one of their own has important information about a silver mine on the American side of the border, but their contact is shot and killed by the mine guards. Plot When oil is discovered on a Vegas ranch, Mexican gambler Carlos is in a deadly fight with his enemies for the oil, putting his girlfriend (Dale Evans) at risk as well as his female cousin whom the bad guys shoot in the arm. Plot Red is working as a stagecoach driver with one of his passengers being Dickie, a recently orphaned young child travelling on his own.
