Lester Andrew F. Alvarez (born September 18, 1988) is a Filipino basketball player and head coach for the Valenzuela XUR Homes Realty Inc. of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). Alvarez played college basketball for the Adamson University Soaring Falcons. College career In UAAP Season 73 to 74, Alvarez is one of the key pieces to the Falcons squad alongside Alex Nuyles, as they led the Falcons back to relevance in the UAAP. In his final season, Alvarez led the Falcons to snap a 13-year losing streak against the Ateneo Blue Eagles to deny them of a step-ladder Final Four. Professional career Alvarez was eligible to join the 2012 PBA draft, and he applied for the said draft. There, he was picked 15th overall in the second round by the Barako Bull Energy Cola. Alexander Nuyles (born July 25, 1989) is a Filipino professional basketball player who last played for the Bicol Volcanoes of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League (MPBL). He was drafted 9th overall by the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the 2013 PBA draft. He was left unprotected by Rain or Shine Elasto Painters in the 2014 PBA Expansion Draft. The Thailand Basketball League (TBL) () is a men's professional basketball league in Thailand. The league is composed 11 teams on the Men's division while the Women's division consists of six teams. The league also consists of 3 divisions: Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3. The league has a similar organization and structure as the National Basketball Association, NBA. Pilipinas Commercial Basketball League (also known as PCBL) was a commercial amateur basketball tournament based in the Philippines that catered to the development and grassroots program for future Filipino basketball players, inspired from the MICAA and the Philippine Basketball League (PBL). The 2014–15 PBA season was the 40th season of the Philippine Basketball Association. The season formally opened on October 19, 2014 and finished on July 17, 2015. The league continued to use the three-conference format, starting with the Philippine Cup. The Commissioner's Cup and the Governors' Cup were the second and third conferences for this season, respectively. This was also the first season that the league had 12 regular teams. The two new teams were Kia Sorento and Blackwater Elite. Although the NLEX Road Warriors had been approved as an expansion team, their owners instead opted to buy the Air21 Express franchise. Ian Paul Mendoza Sangalang (born December 20, 1991) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Magnolia Hotshots of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). He was drafted 2nd overall by the Mixers in the 2013 PBA draft. The Alaska Aces were a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association since 1986 under the ownership of Alaska Milk Corporation (AMC) and the owner of 14 PBA championships, tied with the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and the Magnolia Hotshots for the second-most titles overall.
