Lessons To Be Learned
''Lessons to Be Learned'' is the debut album by Australian singer-songwriter Gabriella Cilmi. It was released in the United Kingdom on 31 March 2008 by Island Records and in Australia on 10 May 2008 by Mushroom Records. Co-written and produced by the team Xenomania, the album takes its title from a line in the song " Sweet About Me", which became a worldwide hit. Background Speaking in July 2008 to Pete Lewis of the magazine ''Blues & Soul'', Cilmi explained the meaning behind the album title: Several different versions of the album have been released with varying track lists, without there being one edition including all released tracks. On some early printings, "Messy" was not included. Tracks such as "Round and Round", "Sorry" and "Warm This Winter" were included as bonus tracks on only some editions of the album. Gabriella Lucia Cilmi ( ; ; born 10 October 1991) is an Australian pop singer. A contralto, Cilmi is known for her distinctive raspy singing voice. Her debut album, ''Lessons to Be Learned'', was released in March 2008, becoming a moderate international success. Cilmi won six ARIA Music Awards, including Single of the Year and Best Female Artist, in 2008. Her second studio album, '' Ten'', was released in March 2010. "Echo Beach" is a song recorded by the Canadian group Martha and the Muffins in 1979. Saint Etienne are an English band from London, formed in 1990. The band consists of Sarah Cracknell, Bob Stanley (musician), Bob Stanley and Pete Wiggs. Bob Bradley (composer/producer)
Bob Bradley (born 5 February 1974) is a British music composer, producer and songwriter. He is mostly known for producing Above & Beyond's acoustic albums as well as soundtracks, themes and incidental music for film, television and advertising. Career Bradley started his career as a duet with his brother Peter Bradley Junior who later formed alternative band, Subcircus. They were mentored by the Everly Brothers in their early teens. Bradley later joined the Bristol-based art rock collective the Blue Aeroplanes. After departing from the Blue Aeroplanes, he joined indie darlings The House of Love and recorded an EP with Guy Chadwick under the name the Madonnas.
