Lesnoy Prospect (Saint Petersburg)
Lesnoy Prospect or prospekt (russian: Лесной проспект, from adject. ''lesnoy'' "of forest") is a major longitudinal street ( ''prospekt'') of the right-hand Vyborg Side of the river Neva delta in Saint Petersburg, Russia, connecting the city's downtown with the central part of its northern Vyborgskiy District - the namesake of the Saint Petersburg Forestry University (formerly Forst-Institut, Lesnoy Institute), founded in early 19 century and becoming a local landmark. With the growth of the city and its suburbs, the avenue takes over it and adjacent streets automobile traffic to further northeastern districts. House Of Specialists (Lesnoy Prospect, Saint Petersburg)
House of Specialists (russian: Дом специалистов) at 61 Lesnoy Prospect avenue in Saint Petersburg, Russia, is a compound of three apartment buildings in the city's northern / northeastern Vyborgskiy district designed and constructed in 1930s under the Soviet government decision to improve living conditions of professionals in a number of cities, building (workmen were given new accommodations too). Among the residents of the house were many notable scientists, engineers and several art workers, and the compound was entered into the cultural heritage list by an act of the city legislative assembly in 1999. History In early 1930s the city block on odd-numbered side of Kantemirovskaya street immediately east of Lesnoy Prospect was filled with two sets of apartment buildings differing in the degree of built-in conveniences. Kalininsky District (russian: Кали́нинский райо́н) is a district of the federal city of St. Petersburg, Russia. As of the 2010 Census, its population was 504,641; up from 469,409 recorded in the 2002 Census. Sampsoniyevskoye Municipal Okrug
Sampsoniyevskoye (russian: Сампсониевское) is a municipal okrug occupying the southern part of Vyborgsky District of the federal city of Saint Petersburg, Russia. ] Since the 18th century until virtually the 21st century it was a primary industrial area of the city, built up with factories and apartment buildings for their workforce, while in post-Soviet times a number of industrial plants have been closed down or relocated and their premises and / or land redeveloped.
