''Les griffes du passé'' is a 2014 film directed by Abdelkrim Derkaoui. The film is inspired by two real events. The first is that of Amina Filali On 10 March 2012, Amina El Filali (sometimes also referred to as Amina Filali) (1996–2012), a 16-year-old girl from Larache, Morocco, committed suicide by taking rat poison, after she was forced by her family to marry a man who had raped her when ... who committed suicide after being forced to marry her rapist. The second is that of a woman who was raped and then sentenced to seven years in prison after mutilating her rapist's genitals. Synopsis The melodrama tells the story of Bouchra, a devoted nurse who saves the life of officer Karim, who is working with his brigade to dismantle a terrorist cell. He falls madly in love with her and ends up marrying her. At the same time, Commissioner Trabelsi, Karim's colleague, is investigating a series of bizarre, violent murders which turns out to be the consequence of a relentless revenge ...

Mohamed Abdelkrim Derkaoui (born March 29, 1945 in Oujda Oujda ( ar, وجدة; ber, ⵡⵓⵊⴷⴰ, Wujda) is a major Moroccan city in its northeast near the border with Algeria. Oujda is the capital city of the Oriental region of northeastern Morocco and has a population of about 558,000 people. It ...) is a Moroccan director and producer. Amina El Filali
On 10 March 2012, Amina El Filali (sometimes also referred to as Amina Filali) (1996–2012), a 16-year-old girl from Larache, Morocco, committed suicide by taking rat poison, after she was forced by her family to marry a man who had raped her when she was 15. According to Article 475 of the Moroccan penal code, the rapist was allowed to avoid prosecution by marrying his victim. This incident drew much attention to Moroccan law, and many people expressed a desire to have the law changed. Local human rights groups also called for the repeal of Article 475 of the Moroccan penal code, which de-criminalises a rape if the rapist later marries their victim. Two years after the suicide, the parliament decided to modify Article 475; it was edited in 2014. A documentary about Amina Filali was released in 2013, which found that there had been four similar incidents in the town's history.
