''The Love Game'' (french: Les Jeux de l'amour) is a 1960 French comedy film directed by Philippe de Broca. It was entered into the 10th Berlin International Film Festival where it won the Silver Bear, Silver Bear Extraordinary Jury Prize. The film's distributor threatened to seek an injunction against the U.S. Commissioner of Customs, who delayed granting clearance for ''The Love Game'' to be exhibited in the United States.(1960, August 25). Philippe de Broca (; 15 March 1933 – 26 November 2004) was a French movie director. He directed 30 full-length feature films, including the highly successful ''That Man from Rio, That Man from Rio (''L'Homme de Rio'')'', ''Le Magnifique, The Man from Acapulco (Le Magnifique)'' and ''On Guard (1997 film), On Guard (Le Bossu)''. Maria Pacôme (18 July 1923 – 1 December 2018) was a French actress and playwright. Biography Born on 18 July 1923 in Paris, Maria Pacôme was the daughter of Maurice Pacôme and Germaine Hivonait. Her father was deported to Buchenwald concentration camp and her brother was shot for being a Communist. When her father came back, Pacôme often found herself defending her mother against her father's violence. Maria began her higher education at Le Cours Simon in 1941, when she was 18.
