Lepa Lukić
Lepava Mušović ( sr-Cyrl, Лепава Мушовић; born 13 January 1940), known professionally as Lepa Lukić ( sr-cyr, Лепа Лукић), is a Serbian folk singer with a career spanning more than six decades. One of her biggest hits is "Srce je moje violina" (''My Heart is a Violin''). Early life and family Lepava Mušović in the village of Miločaj near Kraljevo in Serbia, at the time part of Kingdom of Yugoslavia. Contrary to most sources, Lepava was actually born 13 January 1940, rather than 16 January 1940 when she was given a birth certificate. Her father, Radisav, died in 1942, at age 30, when Lepava was two years old. Her mother, Milosija (1913–2007), lived to the age of 94. Lepava has one older brother, Radomir, born in 1936. Ivo Andrić
Ivo Andrić ( sr-Cyrl, Иво Андрић, ; born Ivan Andrić; 9 October 1892 – 13 March 1975) was a Yugoslav novelist, poet and short story writer who won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1961. His writings dealt mainly with life in his native Bosnia under Ottoman rule. Born in Travnik in Austria-Hungary, modern-day Bosnia and Herzegovina, Andrić attended high school in Sarajevo, where he became an active member of several South Slav national youth organizations. Following the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in June 1914, Andrić was arrested and imprisoned by the Austro-Hungarian police, who suspected his involvement in the plot. As the authorities were unable to build a strong case against him, he spent much of the war under house arrest, only being released following a general amnesty for such cases in July 1917. Nada Mamula
Nada Mamula (9 January 1927 – 11 October 2001) was a Serbian singer. She started her career on Radio Beograd, where she passed an audition in 1946 (as Nada Vukićević). In 1946 she delivered her first ever professional performances as Nada Vukićević along with Danica Obrenić and accordionist Voja Trifunović. Soon after marrying Nikola Mamula, she moved to Sarajevo and started to work on Radio Sarajevo. Her first famous sevdalinka was "Ah meraka u večeri rane". She was one of the most popular singers of Yugoslavia in the second half of the twentieth century. Her discography includes two LPs records released by Jugoton, four LPs released in the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, and Bulgaria and a few dozen singles. She died and was buried in Belgrade in 2001.
