Leonie Küng
Leonie Küng (born 21 October 2000) is a Swiss tennis player. As a qualifier, she reached the singles final at the Junior Wimbledon Championships in 2018. Küng has career-high WTA rankings of 144 in singles, achieved on 14 September 2020, and 220 in doubles, reached on 26 July 2021. To date, she has won one doubles WTA Challenger title with five singles titles and two doubles titles on the ITF Circuit. Küng played first ITF events in Greece in 2014, and won her first $15k events in singles and doubles at the age of 17, in November 2017 in Oslo. She was the 2021 Swiss National Singles Champion, and she also won the national doubles title, partnering Ylena In-Albon. WTA 250 Tournaments
WTA 250 tournaments is a category of tennis tournaments in the Women's Tennis Association tour, implemented since the reorganization of the schedule in 2021. Earlier these events were classified as WTA International tournaments, WTA International Tournaments. As of 2021, WTA 250 tournaments include events with prize money of approximately $250,000. The ranking points awarded to the winners of these tournaments are 280. This compares to 2,000 points for winning a Grand Slam (tennis), Grand Slam tournament ("major"), up to 1,500 points for winning the WTA Finals, 1000 points for winning a WTA 1000 tournament, and 470 for winning a WTA 500 tournament. Paula Badosa defeated Victoria Azarenka in the final, 7–6(7–5), 2–6, 7–6(7–2), to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2021 Indian Wells Masters. At three hours and four minutes, the final was the longest women's final contested at Indian Wells. By winning the title, Badosa became the first Spanish woman to win the tournament. The Indian Wells Masters, also known as the Indian Wells Open and BNP Paribas Open is an annual tennis tournament usually held in early- and mid-March at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden in Indian Wells, California, United States. The US Open Tennis Championships is a hardcourt tennis tournament held annually in Queens, New York. The 2021 French Open – Women's Singles Qualifying was a series of tennis matches that took place from 24 May to 28 May 2021 to determine the sixteen qualifiers into the main draw of the 2021 French Open – Women's singles, and, if necessary, the lucky losers.
