Leonard Statuette
''Leonardstatuetten'' (Leonard Statuette) is a prize awarded by the Norwegian Comedy Writers' Association. The award is named after revue instructor, composer and director Einar Leonard Schanke (1927–1992), who was one of Norway's most important revue personalities. The prize is regarded the highest distinction in Norwegian revue. Awarded from 1968 to 2013, the statuette was given to persons with a significant and lasting importance to Norway's entertainment industry. The statuette was again awarded in 2019, when Eldar Vågan was the recipient. Carsten Byhring (8 December 1918 – 5 April 1990) was a Norwegian actor. He is probably best known for playing Kjell in the Olsen Gang movies. He is the brother of actor Svein Byhring. Yngvar Numme (born 1 October 1944 in Porsgrunn, Norway) is a Norwegian singer, actor, revue writer and director. He is particularly known for his central role in the show group Dizzie Tunes for about forty years, one of the most successful ensembles in Norwegian entertainment. He was awarded the Leonard Statuette in 1990, and Dizzie Tunes received the same award in 1993. Sølvi Wang
Sølvi Valborg Wang (28 August 1929 – 31 May 2011) was a Norwegian singer, actress and comedian. She was born in Bærum, Akershus, to the jazz musician Yngvar Wang and the singer Marie Gulbrandsen. Already at an early age she sang with her father's orchestra on the radio and in concert. She met Egil Monn-Iversen while in school, and in 1948 she founded the music group The Monn Keys together with him. Wang debuted as a recording artist in 1950, in a duet with Arve Opsahl. Later she recorded solo albums, and was responsible for 18 releases in the years up until 1955. She combined her solo career with performances with The Monn Keys, which now also included the singers Nora Brockstedt and Per Asplin. Elisabeth Granneman (born Inger Elisabeth Fauk; 11 May 1930 – 28 March 1992) was a Norwegian singer, songwriter, children's writer and actress. Biography Granneman was born as Inger Elisabeth Fauk in Bergen, Norway to Karl O. Fauk (1909–1976), a sailor and chef, and his wife, Ruth (1896–1980). In her youth, she was a student of classical pianist Robert Riefling (1911–1988) in Lørenskog. Arild Haga (8 April 1913 – 22 February 1985) was a Norwegian revue writer. He was born in 1913. He wrote revues for the stages Chat Noir, Scala and Edderkoppen, and also composed revue music. Alfred Næss (30 November 1927 – 30 November 1997) was a Norwegian playwright and songwriter for revue stages in Oslo, in particular for Chat Noir and the ABC theatre. He wrote material for artists like Wenche Myhre and Dizzie Tunes, and contributed to television comedies. Personal life Næss was born in Vardø as the son of physician Aage Næss and Elna Elisabeth Eide. He was married to Anne Marie Dahl from 1953 to 1955, and to Marie Elisabeth Grønn-Nielsen from 1960 until her death in 1978. He was married to Eivor Hilde Midthus since 1995. Arild Feldborg (18 April 1912 – 26 October 1987) was a Norwegian playwright, revue writer, script writer, humorist and broadcasting person. Personal life Feldborg was born in Vienna, Austria-Hungary, as the son of wholesaler Henry Theobald Feldborg and Petra Normandine Schnitler Blehr, and grew up in Norway.
