Leonard Little
Leonard Antonio Little (born October 19, 1974) is an American former professional football player who was a defensive end for the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League (NFL). Little played college football for the Tennessee Volunteers , and was recognized as an All-American. He was selected by the Rams in the third round of the 1998 NFL Draft, and played his entire twelve-year professional career with them. Little killed a woman in a drunk driving accident in 1998, and later pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter. Early years Little attended Asheville High School in Asheville, North Carolina, where he played both linebacker and wide receiver. At AHS, he was a three-year starter. Defensive End
Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an "end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. When most teams adopted a five-man line, two different styles of end play developed: "crashing" ends, who rushed into the backfield to disrupt plays, and "stand-up" or "waiting" ends, who played the more traditional containment style. American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The offense, the team with possession of the oval-shaped football, attempts to advance down the field by running with the ball or passing it, while the defense, the team without possession of the ball, aims to stop the offense's advance and to take control of the ball for themselves. Derek Barnett
Derek Anthony Barnett (born June 25, 1996) is an American football defensive end for the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Tennessee, and was drafted by the Eagles with the 14th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. Early years Barnett attended Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, Tennessee. As a senior, he had 60 tackles (18 for loss) and 5.5 sacks. He was rated by the Rivals.com recruiting network as a four-star recruit. In 2013, he committed to the University of Tennessee to play college football under head coach Butch Jones. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and the defensive linemen. They are the "middle ground" of defenders, playing closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary), but farther back than the defensive linemen. The 1998 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. The draft was held April 18–19, 1998, at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The league also held a supplemental draft after the regular draft and before the regular season. Before the draft, there was much debate in the media on if the Indianapolis Colts would select Peyton Manning or Ryan Leaf with the first overall pick.
