Leon Johnson (running Back)
William Leon Johnson (born July 13, 1974) is a former professional American football running back. He played seven seasons in the National Football League (NFL) for the New York Jets, the Chicago Bears, and the San Diego Chargers. Early years Johnson played quarterback at Freedom High School in Morganton, North Carolina. While at Freedom High Johnson also starred at track, winning the state championship in the long jump in his senior year, and played both basketball and baseball. He was moved to tailback at the University of North Carolina. College career He played under Mack Brown in college at University of North Carolina. Johnson finished his college career with 3,693 rushing yards and 43 TD and added 1,288 yards receiving with 4 TD. The 1997 NFL Draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. NC State Wolfpack Football
The NC State Wolfpack football team represents North Carolina State University in the sport of American football. The Wolfpack competes in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Atlantic Coast Conference#Divisions, Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). Thomas Edward "Ted" Brown (born February 15, 1957) is a former American college and professional football player who was a running back in the National Football League (NFL) for eight seasons during the late 1970s and 1980s. Brown played college football for North Carolina State University, where he was recognized as an All-American. Mack Brown
William Mack Brown (born August 27, 1951) is an American college football coach. He is currently in his second stint as the head football coach for the University of North Carolina, where he first coached from 1988 until departing in 1997, when he left Chapel Hill to become head coach for the University of Texas. In 2018, Brown was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. Two days after Carolina fired Larry Fedora in November 2018, Brown was announced to return as the Tar Heels' head coach after a five-year hiatus from coaching, which he spent as an ESPN analyst.
