Leon Brown (basketball)
Leon S. Brown (October 12, 1919 – October 14, 1990) was an American professional basketball player. He played collegiately for the Wyoming Cowboys basketball, University of Wyoming. Professionally, Brown played in five games for the Cleveland Rebels of the Basketball Association of America during the 1946–47 season. In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. In basketball, an assist is attributed to a player who passes the ball to a teammate in a way that leads directly to a score by field goal, meaning that they were "assisting" in the basket.
