Lelam
''Lelam'' (Malayalam: ''ലേലം'', en, The Auction) is a 1997 Indian Malayalam-language action drama directed by Joshiy and written by Renji Panicker. It stars Suresh Gopi and M. G. Soman with Siddique, N. F. Varghese, Nandini, Maniyanpilla Raju, Vijayakumar, Spadikam George, and Kaviyoor Renuka in supporting roles. It was also the last film of the veteran actor M.G. Soman. The story revolves around the rivalry between two liquor business groups, the Aanakkattil family and Kadayadi family. The film was dubbed in Tamil as ''Yelam'' and into Telugu as ''Royal Challenge''. Lelam was a blockbuster at the box-office and is also among the highest grossers of the 1990s. ''Lelam'' was considered major comeback film for the actor Suresh Gopi which returned him the ''Super Star'' tag after the three-year long run of stereotyped roles which mostly failed at box office. Renji Panicker
Renji Panicker (born 23 September 1960) is an Indian actor, scriptwriter, director, film producer, and journalist best known for his Malayalam films. He made his debut as a director with ''Bharatchandran IPS'' in 2005. Early life He did his bachelor's degree in commerce from Sanatana Dharma College, Alappuzha and certificate in Journalism from Press Club, Thiruvananthapuram. He earned a master's degree in journalism from Kerala University, Karyavattom. Career Panicker began his career as a journalist. He started off as a reporter for magazines and publications. Siddique (actor)
Siddique (born 1 October 1962) is an Indian actor and producer, who works mainly in Malayalam cinema. Along with appearing in over 350 Malayalam films, he has also acted in a few Tamil, Telugu and Hindi language films. He is known for having played a wide range of starring and supporting roles, including comic characters, romantic leads, anti-heroes and villains. Joshiy
Joshiy (born 18 July 1952) is an Indian film director and producer from Varkala in Kerala who works predominantly in the Malayalam film industry. He made his debut with ''Tiger Salim'' (1978) and has directed over 80 films. He has also directed a few Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films. In the beginning of his career, he received national fame when he directed ''Dharm Aur Qanoon'' (1984) starring Rajesh Khanna and Dharmendra, with Khanna in double roles. Suresh Gopi
Suresh Gopi (born 26 June 1958) is an Indian actor, politician, playback singer and television presenter. Subair (25 May 1962 – 18 August 2010) was an Indian actor in Malayalam cinema industry. He was part of Malayalam films for nearly two decades and acted in around 200 films. Sathaar (25 May 1948 – 17 September 2019) was an Indian actor who primarily worked in Malayalam films. He made his acting debut with M. Krishnan Nair's ''Bharyaye Avashyamundu'' (1975).
