Madeleine Leininger
Madeleine Leininger (July 13, 1925 – August 10, 2012) was a nursing theorist, nursing professor and developer of the concept of transcultural nursing. First published in 1961, her contributions to nursing theory involve the discussion of what it is to care. Biography Leininger was born on 13 July 1925. She earned a nursing diploma from St. Anthony's Hospital School of Nursing, followed by undergraduate degrees at Benedictine College and Creighton University. She received a Master of Science in Nursing at Catholic University of America. She later studied cultural and social anthropology at the University of Washington, earning a PhD in 1966. Leininger held at least three honorary doctoral degrees. Dannette Leininger
Dannette Martin Leininger (born June 6, 1963) is an American former handball player who competed in the 1992 Summer Olympics and in the 1996 Summer Olympics. Leininger was born on June 6, 1963. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in Bloomington, Minnesota, and was inducted into the school's hall of fame in 2009. Leininger then attended the University of Minnesota, where she earned a degree in secondary education. Leininger played collegiate softball at UM, and was inducted into the school's Softball Hall of Fame. Leininger was a member of the United States women's national handball team and appeared in the 1992 Summer Olympics. She resigned from her positions as a teacher at Beamount Middle School and fastpitch softball coach at Saint Cloud High School in 1994 to train for the 1995 Pan American Games and 1996 Summer Olympics. Claus Leininger
Claus Leininger (17 January 1931 – 22 February 2005) was a German stage director in theatre and opera, and an intendant (general manager). He shaped the artistic profile of the Musiktheater im Revier in Gelsenkirchen, nicknamed the Ruhr- Scala during his tenure, and the Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden. Career Born in Mannheim, Leininger studied acting and stage directing from 1950 to 1952. He was then engaged at the Nationaltheater Mannheim as an actor and ''Regieassistent'' (assistant director). He worked at the from 1956, then at the Theater Freiburg until 1967. From 1967 to 1974, he was ''Oberspielleiter des Schauspiels'', leading the play section of the Städtische Bühnen Essen, with Erich Schumacher as director.
