Leigh Gunn
Leigh James Gunn (born 24 December 1980) is an Australian–Filipino footballer who plays as a forward for Fraser Park FC. He has also represented the Philippines at international level. Career Club career Gunn played in various Australian clubs during his career. Gunn became the top scorer of Canterbury-Marrickville Olympic during the 2002–03 season with 12 goals. He also aspired to play abroad sending resumes to secure trials in clubs in England. International career Gunn is eligible to play for the Philippines through his mother who hails from Cebu. He contacted then-Philippine Football Federation General Secretary Chris Monfort regarding the prospects of representing the country. Jose Ariston Caslib also known as Aris Caslib, is a Filipino football coach who last coached Philippines Football League club Meralco Manila. He currently serves as the FIFA Technical Consultant for the Southeast Asian region. Caslib has also been the head coach of the Seniors' Football team of San Beda University, the Red Booters. 2006 AFC Challenge Cup
The 2006 AFC Challenge Cup was held between 1 and 16 April 2006 in Bangladesh. Sixteen teams were split into four groups, the top two in each group qualifying for the quarterfinals, and from then on a straight knockout contest. There was no qualification stage. The cup winner was Tajikistan. The fair play award was won by Sri Lanka and Tajikistani Ibrahim Rabimov won the most valuable player award. Selection of teams The AFC classed seventeen nations as ''emerging associations'', which need time to develop their football. They were selected in August 2005 to take part. The 2000 AFF Championship, officially known as the 2000 Tiger Cup, was the third edition of the AFF Championship and was held in Thailand from 5 November 2000 to 18 November 2000.
