Leif Frode Onarheim
Leif Frode Onarheim (23 August 1934 – 9 September 2021) was a Norwegian businessperson and politician for the Conservative Party. Onarheim was board member and chair of several enterprises. He served as President of the Federation of Norwegian Industries, and later of the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise. He was appointed rector of the BI Norwegian Business School, and was elected member of the Storting from 2001 to 2005. Biography Early life Onarheim was born in Vestre Toten as the son of businessman Frode M. A. Onarheim (1900–1985) and housewife Lillemor Høst (1902–1990). He attended primary and secondary school in Hamar, Bekkelaget and Gjøvik. He took his higher education at various institutions, including one year at the Valdosta State College from 1955 to 1956, but from 1957 he studied at the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration, graduating with the siv.øk. degree in 1960. Frode Onarheim
Frode Morten Andreas Onarheim (6 January 1900 – 3 April 1985) was a Norwegian military officer and businessperson. Personal life He was born in Bekkelaget as a son of Samson Onarheim (1863–1949) and pianist Astrid Onarheim, née Johannessen (1870–1944). In 1926 he married merchant's daughter Lorentze "Lillemor" Høst. They had the son Leif Frode Onarheim. Career After finishing his secondary education in 1918 he completed officer training at the Norwegian Military Academy in 1921 as a premier lieutenant in the field artillery. He took the Norwegian Military College in 1923. He then graduated in machine engineering from the Technische Hochschule in Zurich in 1926. He was hired as a controlling officer at Raufoss Ammunisjonsfabrikk in 1926, and became acting head of department before advancing to managing engineer in 1930 and head of department in 1934. Nora Industrier
Nora Industrier was a Norwegian company, most of its history involved in manufacturing of soft drinks and foodstuffs. It traced its history back to the brewery St. Halvard Bryggeri, established in Pilestredet in 1877. It originally brewed beer only, from 1882 soda as well. In 1918 the brewery relocated, changed its name to Nora Fabrikker and made soda its main product. It was owned by the beer breweries Frydenlund, Schou and Ringnes. In 1978 Nora Fabrikker was the largest soda producer in Norway. Since 1953 the company was also involved in other foodstuffs. In 1978, Nora Fabrikker merged with Frydenlund Schous Bryggeri (a meantime merger) and Ringnes to form Nora Industrier. It involved itself in several non-food fields, buying Helly Hansen in 1985, Bjølsen Valsemølle and Idun Gjærfabrikken in 1986 and Nidar in 1987.
