Leif Eriksson (footballer)
Leif Anders Eriksson (born 20 March 1942) is a Swedish retired footballer and bandy player. He started his career in Sweden playing for Djurgårdens IF, IK Sirius and Örebro SK, until he joined French side OGC Nice where he was elected foreign player of the year by France Football magazine in 1972. He ended his international career in another Côte d'Azur club, AS Cannes. He was part of Swedish national football team at the 1970 FIFA World Cup. He was capped 49 times and scored 12 goals. Köping is a urban areas of Sweden, locality and the seat of Köping Municipality in Västmanland County, Sweden. It had 17,743 inhabitants in 2010. The Sweden national football team has traditionally been a strong team in international football, with twelve World Cup appearances—collecting one silver and two bronze medals—and three medals in the Olympics, including one gold. Sweden played its first international game against Norway in 1908 and competed in an international tournament, the Summer Olympics, for the first time the same year. Since then, Sweden has regularly qualified for the World Cup and the Olympics as well as the European Championships. Allsvenskan (; en, the All-Swedish, also known as Fotbollsallsvenskan, en, the Football All-Swedish) is a Swedish professional league for men's association football clubs. It was founded in 1924 and is the top tier of the Swedish football league system, operating on a system of promotion and relegation with Superettan. Seasons run from late March or early April to the beginning of November, with the 16 clubs all meeting each other twice, resulting in a 30-match season, for a total of 240 matches league-wide. Allsvenskan is ranked 23rd in the UEFA coefficients of leagues based on performances in European competitions over the last five years.
