Lehurutshe
Lehurutshe (formerly known as Welbedacht) is a town in Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality in the North West province of South Africa. The town has within its vicinity the Lehurutshe campus of Taletso TVET, a fire station and numerous schools. Primary Education, there is a list of primary schools in the town and the surrounding namely R.B Dithupe Intermediate, Babuseng Primary and Mesega Primary schools. The town has only one High School in its area, the rest being in the surrounding villages. The High School serving the area is Ngotoane High School. The town is home to the Lehurutshe campus of the Taletso TVET college, which has campuses in other towns around the province. Dinokana
Dinokana is a town in Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality in the North West province of South Africa. Early settlement The area became the main town of the Bahurutshe in 1849, when Kgosi Moiloa I settled it with about 1,500 people, who had been displaced following the Difaqane war. Moiloa was accompanied by the Reverend Walter Inglis of the London Missionary Society. In 1875, a succession dispute in the aftermath of Moiloa's death led to the displacement of many BaHurutshe, and nearly half of the population moved to Gopane. Anti-apartheid history Dinokana was the centre of the Bahurutshe resistance of the 1950s. Kgosi Abram Ramotshere Moiloa was bannished by the Apartheid Government in 1957 after he refused to enforce the carrying of passbooks by Hurutshe women as obliged by apartheid law. Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality
Ramotshere Moiloa Local Municipality (formerly Zeerust Local Municipality) is a local municipality in the Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality, North West Province, South Africa. The seat of local municipality is Zeerust. History The municipality is named after Kgosi Abram Ramotshere Moiloa, a key figure in the Bahurutshe resistance of the 1950s. Kgosi Moiloa was banished by the Apartheid Government in 1957 after he refused to enforce the carrying of passbooks by Hurutshe women as obliged by apartheid law. The women of Dinokana had largely refused to carry the passbooks, and Kgosi Moiloa had supported their decision. At the first meeting held by the native commissioner, 1000 women gathered but only 70 passbooks were taken out, Kgosi Moiloa was deposed a week later. Borakalalo
The Borakalalo Game Reserve is a protected area in North West Province, South Africa. It is located about 80 kilometres NNW of Pretoria and 60 km north of Brits. This majestic Nature reserve has unfortunately been hampered by numerous safety problems, especially affecting overnight visitors to the reserve. Also known as a fantastic birding destination with specials including African Finfoot, Meyer's Parrot and Grey-Headed Kingfisher. Characteristics The reserve covers an area of about 13,000 hectares. The protected area is situated around the Klipvoor Dam and the Moretele River. The park consists of woodland and open bushveld vegetation. Motswedi is a town in Ngaka Modiri Molema District Municipality in the North West province of South Africa. The village is 44 km north-west of Zeerust; the Riet River rises in the north of the village.
