Legqog
Legqog (, , born October 1944) is a retired Tibetan politician. Biography Legqog was born in Gyantse County, Tibet in October 1944. He joined the Communist Party of China in 1972. He was the Chairman of the government of Tibet Autonomous Region of China between 1998 and 2004, when he was replaced by Qiangba Puncog. From 2003 to 2010, he was the chairman of the Autonomous Regional People's Congress of Tibet and of the Standing Committee of Tibet Autonomous Region. In 2010, Qiangba Puncog was retired of the governorship and took Legqog's chairmanship of the Standing Committee. At the same time, the new governor Padma Choling took from Legqog the Presidency of the Tibet Autonomous Region People's Congress. At 66, Xinhua reports, the "former parliament leader...has reached retirement age". Qiangba Puncog
Qiangba Puncog, also spelled Champa Phuntsok (; ; born in May 1947) was the chairman of the government of Tibet Autonomous Region of China from 2003 until January 2010. He is of Tibetan ethnicity. He was most visible in public during the 2008 Tibetan unrest, receiving diplomats and journalists. Qiangba Puncog resigned as chairman on January 12, 2010, and subsequently began serving as chairman of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of the Tibet Autonomous Region. Gyaincain Norbu (politician)
Gyaincain Norbu (; born June 1932) is a Tibetan politician. He was Chairman of the Tibet Autonomous Region from 1990 to 1998. He was succeeded by Legqog. In November 1995, Gyaincain Norbu presided at a ceremony organised by the Chinese government to select its approved claimant to title of 11th Panchen Lama from a list of finalists by using the Golden Urn. The boy selected at this ceremony was also named Gyaincain Norbu, which is a fairly common Tibetan name. The boy is of no relation to Chairman Gyaincain Norbu. Raidi (; ; also written Ragdi; born August, 1938) is a Tibetan politician of the People's Republic of China. He served as a vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress from 2003 to 2008, and the highest ranking Tibetan in China.
