Legends Of The Summer (EP)
''Legends of the Summer'' is the fifth extended play by American rapper Meek Mill. The EP was released on July 6, 2018, by Maybach Music Group and Atlantic Records. It is the follow-up to Meek Mill's third album ''Wins & Losses'' (2017), and his first project since his release from prison in April 2018. It includes guest appearances from Miguel (singer), Miguel, Swizz Beatz, PnB Rock and Jeremih. The production handled by Yung Berg, Hitmaka, Jahlil Beats, Mike DZL and Prince Chrishan, among others. The EP was supported by one single: "Stay Woke" featuring Miguel (singer), Miguel. Background On July 5, 2018, Meek Mill began teasing both the project's artwork and music. Robert Rihmeek Williams (born May 6, 1987), known professionally as Meek Mill, is an American rapper. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he embarked on his music career as a battle rapper, and later formed a short-lived rap group, The Bloodhoundz. In 2008, Atlanta-based rapper T.I. signed Meek Mill to his first record deal. ''Pitchfork'' (formerly ''Pitchfork Media'') is an American online music publication (currently owned by Condé Nast) that was launched in 1995 by writer Ryan Schreiber as an independent music blog. Dana Stinson (born February 2, 1971), better known by his stage name Rockwilder, is an American hip hop record producer and rapper. A long term friend of Def Jam rapper Redman, Rockwilder got his start producing for East Coast hip hop artists in the mid-1990s. Donald Earle DeGrate Jr. (born September 29, 1969), better known by his stage name DeVanté Swing, is an American record producer, singer, rapper and songwriter. He is the older brother of fellow Jodeci member Dalvin DeGrate. Career In his early career, Swing served as a mix engineer, while simultaneously producing for other acts. The album-equivalent unit, or album equivalent, is a measurement unit in music industry to define the consumption of music that equals the purchase of one album copy. This consumption includes streaming and song downloads in addition to traditional album sales. The album-equivalent unit was introduced in the mid- 2010s as an answer to the drop of album sales in the 21st century. Album sales more than halved from 1999 to 2009, declining from a $14.6 to $6.3 billion industry.
