Legends League Cricket is a Twenty20 cricket league featuring retired cricket players. Legends League Cricket Masters has been played in Oman and Qatar and the franchise Legends League Cricket T20 league has been played in India. Background Owned by Absolute Legends Sports Pvt Ltd, Legends League Cricket was founded by Raman Raheja and Vivek Khushalani. In November 2021, Ravi Shastri was appointed as the league's commissioner following his retirement as the head coach of the India national cricket team. Masters tournament The 2022 masters season was played in January 2022 at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground in Muscat. It featured three teams: India Maharajas; Asia Lions; and World Giants. Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. Together with first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being at the highest international or domestic level. Upul Tharanga
Warushavithana Upul Tharanga (born 2 February 1985), commonly known as Upul Tharanga ( si, උපුල් තරංග), is a former professional Sri Lankan cricketer, and a former limited over captain who played for all formats of the game. He occasionally served as stand-in captain for Indian men's national cricket team during the absence of the main captain. He played for Uttar Pradesh (UP) in domestic cricket circuit. Harbhajan Singh (born 3 July 1980) is a member of parliament in Rajya Sabha and an Indian retired cricketer and cricket commentator, who played for the Indian national cricket team from 1998 - 2016. Parthiv Ajay Patel (born 9 March 1985) is a former Indian professional cricketer, wicketkeeper-batsman, and was a member of the Indian national cricket team. 2023 Legends League Cricket
The 2023 Legends League Cricket or LLC Season 2 was the second franchise season of the Legends League Cricket, a professional Twenty20 cricket league in India. The tournament took place from 18 November to 9 December 2023. In this season, two new teams were added namely Southern Super Stars and Urbanrisers Hyderabad.
