Legado Final (2012)
''El Legado Final'' (2012) (Spanish for "The Final Legacy") was an annual professional wrestling major event produced by Mexican professional wrestling promotion International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG), which took place on June 24, 2012 in Arena Naucalpan, Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. The main event of the show was the ''Torneo de Legado Final'' ("The Final Legacy Tournament"), a 12-man ''Torneo cibernetico''. The match saw six teams compete, five of which we scheduled to be father/son teams and one a set of second-generation wrestlers. Ultraman was originally supposed to team with his son, Ultraman, Jr. but his son was unable to compete and had to be replaced with Danny Casas, a third-generation wrestler from the Casas wrestling family. International Wrestling Revolution Group
International Wrestling Revolution Group (Grupo Internacional Revolución in Spanish; the Spanish name is used for the promotion while the English initials are used for the title governing body) is a Lucha Libre promotion based in Naucalpan, State of Mexico, Mexico. Founded in 1996 by Adolfo Moreno and since Moreno's death in late 2007 has been controlled by his sons Alfredo and Marco Moreno. IWRG has its own championships but like many Mexican promotions recognize champions from other promotions, occasionally allowing them to defend those titles on IWRG shows. In recent times the company has become a more direct competitor to Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) and Asistencia Asesoria y Administracion (AAA), acquiring a national television deal with TV Azteca and using a number of talent that have left CMLL or AAA to bolster their ranks and profile. Lucha libre (, meaning "freestyle wrestling" or literally translated as "free fight") is the term used in Latin America for professional wrestling. Since its introduction to Mexico in the early 20th century, it has developed into a unique form of the genre, characterized by colorful masks, rapid sequences of holds and maneuvers, and "high-flying" maneuvers, some of which have been adopted in the United States, Japan, and elsewhere. Tag team wrestling is a type of professional wrestling in which matches are contested between teams of multiple wrestlers. Jesús Reyes González (born 10 March 1958) is a Mexican ''Luchador'', or professional wrestler, best known under the ring name Máscara Año 2000 or Máscara Año Dos Mil. His ring name is Spanish for "Mask of the year 2000", originally referring to the mask Reyes wore while wrestling. Reyes was forced to unmask when he lost a '' Lucha de Apuesta'' (bet match) to Perro Aguayo in 1993. Carmelo Reyes González (born October 18, 1949) is a Mexican retired professional wrestler, better known by his ring name, Cien Caras ("Hundred Faces"). He is best known for his appearances with the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre. Personal life Carmelo Reyes González was born on October 18, 1949, in Lagos de Moreno, Jalisco, Mexico. Los Capos (Spanish for "The Bosses") was a Lucha Libre stable consisting of Cien Caras, Máscara Año 2000 (often written as "Dos Mil") and Universo 2000, and at one point also included Apolo Dantés. Máscara Sagrada (born November 6, 1959) is a Mexican ''Luchador enmascarado'' (or masked professional wrestler) who has worked for every major Mexican wrestling promotion over the last 20 years. His ring name is Spanish for "Sacred Mask" and is inspired by the "sanctity" of masks in ''lucha libre''.
