Lega Lombarda
Lega Lombarda ( en, Lombard League; abbr. LL), whose complete name is ( en, Lombard League for Salvini Premier), is a regionalist political party active in Lombardy. Established in 1984, it was one of the founding "national" sections of Lega Nord (LN) in 1991 and has been the regional section of Lega per Salvini Premier (LSP) in Lombardy since 2020. Along with Liga Veneta, the LL has formed the bulk of the federal party (LN/LSP), which was led by Lombards since its foundation. The LL is currently led by a pro-tempore coordinator, Federico Cecchetti. Umberto Bossi
Umberto Bossi (born 19 September 1941) is an Italian politician and former leader of Lega Nord (Northern League), a party seeking autonomy or independence for Northern Italy or Padania. He is married to the Sicilian Manuela Marrone, and has four sons, of whom one was from his first wife. Birth and education Bossi was born in 1941 in Cassano Magnago, in the province of Varese, Lombardy. 1989 European Parliament Election In Italy
The 1989 European Parliament election in Italy was held on 18 June 1989. The election was paired with a non-binding referendum about the devolution of powers to the European Economic Community, which passed with overwhelming support from voters. Electoral system The pure party-list proportional representation was the traditional electoral system of the Italian Republic since its foundation in 1946, so it had been adopted to elect the Italian representatives to the European Parliament too. Two levels were used: a national level to divide seats between parties, and a constituency level to distribute them between candidates. The president of Lombardy is the supreme authority of Lombardy, the most populated region of Italy. Attilio Fontana
Attilio Fontana (born 28 March 1952) is an Italian politician from Varese, Lombardy. He has served as President of Lombardy since 2018 leading a centre-right coalition. Francesco Enrico Speroni (born 4 October 1946, in Busto Arsizio) is an Italian politician. Career Speroni has been flight engineer from 1970 to 1997, remaining on leave since 1989. A member of the Northern League, Speroni has been a Member of the European Parliament from 1989 to 1994, a Senator from 1992 to 1999 and again an MEP from 1999 to 2014.
