"Left Hand Free" is a song by English indie rock band alt-J. It was released as the second single from the band's second studio album ''This Is All Yours'' on 7 July 2014. Background and composition With its Southern rock influences, "Left Hand Free" is atypical for an alt-J song, with the band themselves describing it as "the least Alt-J song ever." The song, written by band members Joe Newman, Thom Green and Gus Unger-Hamilton "in about 20 minutes", was built around a riff that Newman would play during rehearsals and features an organ solo from Unger-Hamilton, while Green's performance on the song was deliberately performed "as clichéd as possible," with "none of ispersonality in it." Alt-J (stylised as alt-J, real name Δ) are an English indie rock band formed in 2007 in Leeds. Their lineup includes Joe Newman (guitar/lead vocals), Thom Sonny Green (drums), Gus Unger-Hamilton (keyboards/vocals), and formerly Gwilym Sainsbury (guitar/bass). Their debut album ''An Awesome Wave'' was released in May 2012 in Europe, and in September 2012 in the United States, and won the 2012 British Mercury Prize. Sainsbury left the band in early 2014. Lido (musician)
Peder Losnegård (born 26 October 1992), better known by his stage name Lido, is a Norwegian musician, record producer, singer, and songwriter. He produced "Same Drugs" and "Angels" on Chance the Rapper's ''Coloring Book''. He is known for his extensive work with Halsey, executive producing her debut ''Badlands'', as well as co-writing and producing several songs on ''Hopeless Fountain Kingdom'' and '' Manic''. Lido has also notably produced for Ella Mai, Jaden Smith, Ariana Grande, Mariah Carey, A$AP Ferg, Smino, and BANKS, among others. Career Losnegård started as a drummer.
