Leeming, Western Australia
Leeming is a southern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. It is divided between the three local government areas of the City of Melville, the City of Cockburn (south) and the City of Canning (north-east). It is located approximately south of the Perth central business district and east of Fremantle. History The area was previously part of Jandakot and was predominantly agricultural until the 1970s, having been laid out by surveyor George Waters Leeming (1857–1902) in 1886. Three roadsKing Road, Leeming Road (the southern boundary) and Beasley Roadaccessed the area. In 1971, the suburb of Leeming was gazetted, although construction did not commence until approximately 1976, possibly as early as 1975. It was built in stages, with the area between Findlay Road and Gracechurch Crescent being built first, while the east, west and south were built in that order over the next ten years. Murdoch Railway Station
Murdoch railway station is a railway and bus station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Mandurah line, from Perth station inside the median strip of the Kwinana Freeway serving the suburb of Murdoch. History Murdoch railway station was designed to subsume the existing Murdoch Park 'n' Ride bus station located on the same site. The Park 'n' Ride was closed on 31 January 2007 to facilitate construction of the railway station. The contract for the construction of Murdoch railway station, along with Bull Creek railway station and Canning Bridge railway station, was awarded to John Holland Pty Ltd in November 2004. Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a state government hospital and teaching facility in Murdoch, Western Australia. Leeming Senior High School is a public co-educational high day school, located in the City of Melville on Aulberry Parade in the suburb of Leeming, Western Australia. History The school was established in 1985 and caters for students from Year 7 to Year 12. The number of student enrolments has declined over the last five years. The school enrolled 1147 students in 2007, then 1074 in 2008, to 1018 in 2009, then fell to 882 in 2010 and to 809 in 2011. Roe Highway
Roe Highway is a limited-access highway and partial freeway in Perth, Western Australia, linking Kewdale with the city's north-eastern and south-western suburbs. The northern terminus is at Reid Highway and Great Northern Highway in Middle Swan, and the southern terminus is with Murdoch Drive at the Kwinana Freeway interchange in Bibra Lake.
