The Dutch Single Top 100 or Single Top 100 is a Dutch chart, based on official physical single sales, legal downloads and since July 2013 streaming and composed by Dutch Charts. It is one of the three official charts, the other two being the Dutch Top 40 and the Mega Top 30. The difference is that these charts also include airplay data. The list is especially intended for the music industry and those who take an interest in charts. Johnny Gold
Jesse John Gold (25 June 1932 – 7 October 2021) was a British nightclub owner and operator. After education at Brighton College and National Service with the 6th Royal Tank Regiment Gold worked briefly in his father's bookmakers. He moved to London in the mid 1950s and was hired by Oscar Lerman to run the Dolly's night club. In 1969, with Lerman and Bill Ofner, he founded the nightclub Tramp. Gold thought the club might survive only 2 to 3 years but it became popular with celebrities. He sold his stake in 1998 but remained until 2003 as "greeter-in-chief". Gold retired to the Bahamas. Early life Jesse John Gold was born on 25 June 1932 in Stamford Hill, London. He was the son of Sam Gold, a Jewish bookmaker and former milliner. Vince Mendoza (born November 17, 1961) is an American composer, music arranger and conductor, and six-time Grammy Award winner. He debuted as a solo artist in 1989, and is known for his work conducting the Metropole Orkest and WDR Big Band Köln, as well as arranging music for musicians such as Joni Mitchell, Michael Brecker and Björk. Early life Mendoza was born in Norwalk, Connecticut in 1961, He began studying music on the piano and classical guitar at an early age, before changing his focus to playing the trumpet and composing in high school, due to his love of jazz and soul music. Mendoza wrote music for his high school jazz ensemble, later continuing studies in music at Ohio State University. Metropole Orkest
The Metropole Orkest (Metropole Orchestra) is a jazz and pop orchestra based in the Netherlands, and is the largest full-time ensemble of its kind in the world. A hybrid orchestra, it is a combination of jazz, big band and symphony orchestra. Comprising 52–97 musicians, it is versatile across many musical forms, and is equipped with a "double rhythm section" – one for pop and rock, and one for jazz based music. History The Metropole Orkest was founded in 1945 by Dolf van der Linden at the urging of officials from Netherlands Public Broadcasting, which manages and subsidizes the orchestra. The name of the group was suggested by one of the musicians. Dolf van der Linden led the ensemble for 35 years until he stepped down in 1980. He was replaced by Rogier van Otterloo, who led the group until his sudden death in 1988. Dick Bakker held the baton until 2005 when Vince Mendoza took over. Bart Frederikus de Graaff (;In isolation, ''Frederikus'' is pronounced . 16 April 1967 – 25 May 2002) was an influential Dutch television presenter, comedian and creator, as well as the founder and chairman of the public broadcasting network BNN. Early life Bart Frederikus de Graaff was born on 16 April 1967 in Haarlem in the Netherlands. Because of a car accident in his youth in 1976, De Graaff suffered from serious kidney failure for most of his life.
