Lee Ruey-tsang
Lee Ruey-tsang () is a Taiwanese banker and politician. He led the Financial Supervisory Commission from 19 October 2016 to 7 September 2017. Prior to assuming the chairmanship of the FSC, he was chairman of the Bank of Kaohsiung. He has served as Vice Minister of Finance and became acting finance minister in 2008, after Ho Chih-chin resigned. Early life Lee obtained his bachelor's and master's degree in land economics from National Chengchi University. Financial Supervisory Commission (Taiwan)
The Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC; , abbreviated to ) is an independent government agency subordinate to the Executive Yuan of the Republic of China (Taiwan). It is responsible for regulating securities markets (including the Taiwan Stock Exchange and the Taiwan Futures Exchange), banking, and the insurance sector. Its main office is located in Banqiao District, New Taipei. National Chengchi University () is a public research university in Taipei. The university is also considered as the earliest public service training facility of the Republic of China. First established in Nanjing in 1927, the university was subsequently relocated to Taipei in 1954. It is considered to be one of the most prestigious and prominent universities in Taiwan. Kaohsiung City Government
The Kaohsiung City Government is the municipal government of Kaohsiung. It was formed after the merger of Kaohsiung County and Kaohsiung City in December 2010. Its chief administrator is the directly elected Mayor of Kaohsiung. The Bank of Taiwan (BOT, , see below) is a commercial bank headquartered in Taipei, Taiwan. It is owned by the government of Taiwan. History The Bank of Taiwan was established as Taiwan's central bank in 1899, during Japanese rule. The bank's creation was authorized in 1897 by the Bank Act of Taiwan which encouraged Japanese enterprises, such as the Mitsubishi and Mitsui Groups, to invest in Taiwan. Joseph Lyu or Lyu Jye-cherng (; born 15 December 1956) is a Taiwanese business executive and politician. Education Lyu attended National Chengchi University and Northwestern University. Career Lyu worked for BNP Paribas and the Bank of New York Mellon, among other institutions. In July 2000, while serving as the vice president of KBC Bank in Taiwan, he accepted an appointment to the China Airlines board of directors. Lin Chuan (; born 13 December 1951) is a Taiwanese economist and politician who served as Premier of the Republic of China (Taiwan) from 2016 to 2017 under President Tsai Ing-wen. He served as Minister of Budget, Accounting and Statistics and Minister of Finance during Chen Shui-bian's presidency.
