Lee Mishkin
Lee Mishkin (February 5, 1927 – June 19, 2001) was an American animator and director. He directed the short animated film '' Is It Always Right to Be Right?'', which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 1970. He was the founder of the Vancouver Institute of Media Arts (VanArts), an art school focusing on animation, design, acting and photography. During the 1980s and 1990s Mishkin served on the advisory board of the National Student Film Institute The National Student Film Institute (NSFI), formerly the Los Angeles Student Film Institute (LASFI), was founded in 1978 by Brenda Norman, Dave Master, Jutti Marsh and Ralph Rogers as a festival for films made by children from kindergarten through n .... is a 1987 animated television series. It was produced by Universal Television and animated by Tokyo Movie Shinsha (now TMS Entertainment) and distributed, through first-run syndication, by MCA TV, years before the latter company became NBCUniversal Television Distribution. Renowned Japanese animation director Osamu Dezaki was involved as chief supervising director, and his distinctive style (as seen in ''Golgo 13'' and '' Cobra'') is evident throughout all its episodes. The title characters of the series are a family of machine-enhanced human beings each possessing unique powers after being augmented with bionic technology.
