Lee High School (Huntsville, Alabama)
Lee High School is a four-year public high school that serves students in grades 9–12 from Huntsville, in Madison County, Alabama in the United States, as a part of Huntsville City Schools. History Lee High School was named for the Lee Highway (U.S. Route 72) that ran in front of the old school location in the 1950s, which, in turn, was named after Confederate and Union General Robert E. Lee. The school's mascot is now a 5-Star General and, for many years, a painting of General Robert E. Lee mounted on his horse and holding the Confederate flag was on the Gymnasium wall. In 1974 the flag was painted over and the Generals' mascot is now held to represent no specific person. The original building was constructed in 1957 and opened in the later part of the 1957–1958 school year. Huntsville is a city in Madison County, Limestone County, and Morgan County, Alabama, United States. It is the county seat of Madison County. Located in the Appalachian region of northern Alabama, Huntsville is the most populous city in the state. Huntsville was founded within the Mississippi Territory in 1805 and became an incorporated town in 1811. The National Honor Society (NHS) is a nationwide organization for high school students in the United States and outlying territories, which consists of many chapters in high schools. Selection is based on four criteria: scholarship (academic achievement), leadership, service, and character. The National Honor Society requires some sort of service to the community, school, or other organizations. The time spent working on these projects contributes towards the monthly service hour requirement. Ronald Louis Cooper (born February 11, 1962) is an American football coach and former player. Currently, Cooper is the head coach at Long Island University following a year as a Senior Analyst at Alabama. Keith Butler (American Football)
John Keith Butler (born May 16, 1956) is a former American football coach and linebacker. He played for the National Football League (NFL)'s Seattle Seahawks for ten years and retired after the 1987 season. Butler spent 23 years coaching in the NFL. Before retiring from coaching in January 2022, Butler served as the Defensive coordinator of the Pittsburgh Steelers for seven seasons (2015-2021). Jeffrey Alan "Buddy" Boshers (born May 9, 1988) is an American former professional baseball pitcher. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Los Angeles Angels, Minnesota Twins, and Toronto Blue Jays. Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is an annual parade in New York City presented by the U.S.-based department store chain Macy's. The Parade first took place in 1924, tying it for the second-oldest Thanksgiving parade in the United States with America's Thanksgiving Parade in Detroit (with both parades being four years younger than Philadelphia's Thanksgiving Day Parade).
