Lee Harry
Lee Harry is an American film director and editor, best known for directing the Christmas slasher film ''Silent Night Deadly Night 2'' and ''Street Soldiers''. Along with fellow Burbank editor Joseph H. Earle, Harry was tasked to use his editing skills to make ''Silent Night, Deadly Night: Part 2'' look like a different film than the original, which would then be repackaged as a sequel. It has since become a cult classic. Harry admits to being pleased by the reception the notoriously inept film has received. He has done motion picture advertising trailers for Carroll & Co, Seiniger Advertising, Cimarron-Bacon-O’Brien, Vision Advertising, Kaleidoscope Films, and Buddha Jones. His dramatic short film ''The Whistler'' was nominated at the Burbank International Film Festival (2015). Slasher Film
A slasher film is a genre of horror films involving a killer stalking and murdering a group of people, usually by use of bladed or sharp tools like knife, chainsaw, scalpel, etc. Although the term "slasher" may occasionally be used informally as a generic term for any horror film involving murder, film analysts cite an established set of characteristics which set slasher films apart from other horror subgenres, such as monster movies, splatter films, supernatural and psychological horror films. Silent Night Deadly Night 2
''Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2'' is a 1987 American slasher film edited, co-written with Joseph H. Earle, and directed by Lee Harry. It is the sequel to 1984's ''Silent Night, Deadly Night'', and was followed by '' Silent Night, Deadly Night 3: Better Watch Out!'' in 1989. Its plot focuses on Ricky Caldwell, the brother of Billy Chapman, and his own trauma regarding his parents' Christmas Eve murders, which triggers his own killing spree. Street Soldiers
''Street Soldiers'' is a 1991 American revenge martial arts film written, produced, and starring taekwondo master Jun Chong, and directed by Lee Harry. The film would be the only production to feature actor Hwang Jang-lee, who is credited in the film as "Jason Hwang". Plot A truce between two rival gangs, the Tigers and the JPs, come to an end when after a day at school, the Tigers are attacked by members of the JPs, led by Spider. Student Academy Awards
The Student Academy Awards are presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in an annual competition for college and university filmmakers.
