Lee Adamson
Lee Adamson (born 27 June 1946) is a former Australian rules footballer who played in the Victorian Football League (VFL). From Greensborough, Adamson came through the Collingwood Football Club's under 19s before getting into the senior side. He made his debut in 1966 as a slender defender. His main concern halfway through his career when he couldn't get a game due to successive injuries, but worked back and played in the 1970 Grand Final against premiers Carlton. Adamson was at the front of a racial abuse accusation when he was a victim of a striking charge from Carlton's Syd Jackson. 22 years later, Jackson admitted no racial abuse was committed. Greensborough Football Club
Greensborough Football Club is an Australian rules football club in Greensborough, Victoria, currently competing in the Northern Football Netball League. History The Greensborough Football Club was founded in 1893 playing its first game against Diamond Creek. In 1922 the club became affiliated with the Diamond Valley Football League (DVFL) and were premiers in their inaugural year. Greensborough were 1 of 6 original teams in the DVFL. To date the club has won 17 A grade 1st Division premierships, and been runners up 15 times. Currently, the club plays their home games at War Memorial Park in Greensborough and fields 3 teams in Division 1 each week. The Northern Football Netball League (formerly known as the Diamond Valley Football League and later Northern Football League) is an Australian sports league based in the Diamond Valley region of suburban Melbourne, Victoria. The league regulates competitions of both sports, Australian rules football and netball in the region. Syd Jackson (footballer, Born 1944)
Syd Jackson (born 1 July 1944) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the Carlton Blues during the 1970s. He usually played in the centre or half forward flank. An Indigenous Australian, Jackson was a Stolen Generations child and was adopted by Ern Manea. He started his professional footballing career at East Perth in 1963. He was equal first in that year's Sandover Medal count although he was ineligible due to suspension and in 1966 he was named East Perth's best and fairest. Jackson made his debut with Carlton in 1969 after being recruited by Ron Barassi. He won premierships in the Blues in 1970 and 1972. His jumper number was 5.
