Albert Leduc
Joseph Albert Florimond "Battleship" Leduc (November 22, 1902 – July 31, 1990) was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman. He played in the National Hockey League from 1925 to 1935. with the New York Rangers, Ottawa Senators, and Montreal Canadiens. He won Stanley Cup twice, in 1930, and 1931, both with Montreal. Career Leduc played in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1925 to 1935. During this period, he played for the New York Rangers, the Ottawa Senators and the Montreal Canadiens. He was part of the two Montreal Canadiens teams to win the Stanley Cup in 1930 and 1931. Leduc played amateur hockey with the Collège de Valleyfield team. Timothy LeDuc (born May 4, 1990) is a retired American pair skater. With their skating partner, Ashley Cain, they are a two-time U.S. national champion (2019, 2022), the 2018 Four Continents silver medalist, and a two-time Grand Prix medalist. They are the first openly gay skater to win the pairs title at the U.S. Championships and the first openly non-binary athlete to qualify for the Winter Olympics. Personal life Timothy LeDuc was born May 4, 1990, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Leduc 0.10 was a research aircraft built in France, one of the world's first aircraft to fly powered solely by a ramjet. Design and development Designed by René Leduc in 1938, it was built at the Breguet Aviation factory after a protracted, semi-secret construction phase kept at arm's length from German occupation authorities, and was finally completed in 1947. The aircraft featured a double-walled fuselage, with the pilot controlling the aircraft from within the inner shell. The circular gap between this and the outer, cylindrical shell provided the inlet for the ramjet. Leduc ( ) is a city in the province of Alberta, Canada. It is south of the provincial capital of Edmonton and is part of the Edmonton Metropolitan Region. History Leduc was established in 1891, when Robert Telford, a settler, who had bought land, in 1889, near a lake which would later bear his name. It was on that piece of land where the new settlement would take root. Telford established a stopping place for the stagecoach line that in 1889 connected Calgary to Edmonton. It became known as Telford's Place. Telford previously served as an officer for the North-West Mounted Police, and later became Leduc's first postmaster, first general merchantman, and first justice of the peace. He was also elected to serve as Leduc's first Member of the Alberta legislature (MLA)in 1905. William Gates LeDuc (March 29, 1823October 30, 1917) was an American politician from Minnesota who served as the fourth United States Commissioner of Agriculture from July 1, 1877, to 1881. He also served in the Union Army during the American Civil War and was a prominent figure in the early development of Minnesota. Violette Leduc (7 April 1907 – 28 May 1972) was a French writer. Early life and education She was born in Arras, Pas de Calais, France, on 7 April 1907. She was the illegitimacy, illegitimate daughter of a servant girl, Berthe Leduc, and André Debaralle, the son of a rich Protestant family in Valenciennes, who subsequently refused to legitimize her. In Valenciennes, Violette spent most of her childhood suffering from poor self-esteem, exacerbated by her mother's hostility and excessive protectiveness.
