The Lechugueros de León was a Mexican professional basketball team based in León, Guanajuato, Mexico playing in the Southern Division of the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP). Lechugueros played in the classic Circuito Mexicano de Básquetbol in the early 1970s, and joined the LNBP in 2004. Their home arena is the Domo de la Feria. Domo De La Feria
Domo de la Feria (originally Auditorio Municipal de Leon) is a 4,463-seat indoor arena located in Leon, Guanajuato. Built in the mid-1980s, it is used primarily for basketball, and is home to the Abejas de León basketball team. It is part of the municipal fairgrounds, and is one of the primary venues of the annual Feria Leon. It can seat up to 7,000 for concerts. It is also used for circuses, lucha libre, motorsports, boxing, graduations, ice shows and other events. A 4,500-seat Palenque, dedicated in 2010, is adjacent to the arena. The Circuito Mexicano de Básquetbol, also known with the acronym CIMEBA, was a professional basketball league in Mexico. The first edition was the 1970–71 season, and it continued until the 2006–07 season, after which the league was discontinued. The league coexisted with the Liga Nacional de Baloncesto Profesional (LNBP) from 2000 to 2007, and with the Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacífico (CIBACOPA) from 2001 to 2007. Horacio Llamas
Horacio Llamas Grey (born July 17, 1973) is a Mexican former professional basketball player. He played two seasons with the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA), becoming the first Mexican-born player in NBA history. Early years Llamas was born in El Rosario, Sinaloa, Mexico, the first child of Horacio and Ana Luisa Llamas. He practiced karate from the age of two, followed by baseball, and did not begin playing basketball until he was 15.
