Leccinum Viscosum
''Leccinellum viscosum'' is a species of fungus in the bolete family. Found in Belize, it grows in sandy soil near '' Pinus caribaea'' and ''Quercus peduncularis ''Quercus peduncularis'' is an oak native to Mexico and Central America, ranging from Jalisco to Honduras.
.'' It was described as new to science in 2009 by mycologists Roy Halling and Beatriz Ortiz.

Roy Halling
Roy Edward Halling (born December 31, 1950, in Perry, Iowa) is an American mycologist. Halling specializes in the study of mushroom-forming fungi, especially the taxonomy, ecology, and systematics of the Boletineae, a suborder of the Boletales, and is widely published in this area. He is currently emeritus curator of mycology at the New York Botanical Garden, and was an adjunct professor at Columbia University. Halling received his master's degree from San Francisco State University in 1976, with a thesis titled "The Boletaceae of the Sierra Nevada", under the supervision of Harry Delbert Thiers. His PhD was from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, in 1980 with a dissertation titled "The genus ''Collybia'' in New England. His supervisor was Howard E. Bigelow. On the underside of the cap there is usually a spongy surface with pores, instead of the gills typical of mushrooms. The Caribbean pine (''Pinus caribaea'') is a hard pine species native to Central America and the northern West Indies (in Cuba, the Bahamas, and the Turks and Caicos Islands). It belongs to subsection '' Australes'' in subgenus ''Pinus''. It inhabits tropical and subtropical coniferous forests such as Bahamian pineyards, in both lowland savannas and montane forests. ''Leccinellum'' is a genus of fungi in the family Boletaceae. Mycologists Andreas Bresinsky and Manfred Binder circumscription (taxonomy), circumscribed the genus in 2003 to contain ''Leccinum'' species with a yellow hymenium, pore surface and a trichoderm-like cap cuticle. ''Leccinellum nigrescens'' (originally ''Leccinum nigrescens'' Singer 1947) was designated the type species; this taxon has since been renamed to ''Leccinellum crocipodium'' (Letell.)
