Lec Bushati
Lec Bushati (; 10 July 192316 September 1996) was an Albanian actor from Shkodër who played more than 150 roles in both theatre and film. Life and career He was born in Shkodër on 10 July 1923. He started education in the then Xavier (now ''Pjetër Meshkalla High School'') college of the city and finished in 1945. There he interpreted parts in plays like ''Princi i Drishtit (The Prince of Drisht)'' written by Zef Harapi and ''Udha (The Road)''. After graduation he would play parts in works from writers such as Maxim Gorky, Henrik Ibsen and Gjergj Fishta (''Juda Makabe'', 1914). He later enrolled in "Aleksandër Xhuvani Institute" and then University of Arts, Tirana, finishing his studies in 1964. Bushati was one of the first actors to perform in the newly constructed ''"Migjeni" Theatre'' in Shkodër, mostly acting in plays written by playwright Andrea Skanjeti. Merited Artist Of Albania
Merited Artist of Albania ( sq, Artist i Merituar) was a state honorary title for the decoration of outstanding art performers of People's Socialist Republic of Albania. It was created by law in 1960 and amended in 1980. The title was no longer given in Albania after the law was amended in 1996. Definition The title is the state award of Albania that was given for the personal merit in Albania to the citizens that worked in their respective artistic field as a rule of no less than ten (10) years obtaining high on-the-job achievements and professional mastery. Conditions The title was awarded by the President of Albania. It was given to citizens of Albania, foreigners, and persons with no citizenship. The University of Arts ( sq, Universiteti i Arteve), formerly known as the Academy of Arts ( sq, Akademia e Arteve) is a public university and the main institution that offers higher education of the arts in Albania. History Founded in 1966 as the ''Higher Institute of Arts'' ( sq, Instituti i Lartë i Arteve), it merged three artistic institutions: the Tirana State Conservatory, the Higher School of Fine Arts, and the High School for Actors “Aleksander Moisiu”. The institute was able to take advantage of the Russian tradition in classical music and ballet due to the fact that Albania and Russia had close relationships during communism. The film was directed by Kujtim Çashku and its main theme is the blood feud ''(Gjakmarrja)'' on a strong political background. The story is set in 1939 Albania and revolves around two main threads. Gjergj Fishta
Gjergj Fishta (; 23 October 187130 December 1940) was an Albanian Franciscan friar, poet, educator, politician, rilindas, translator and writer. He is regarded as one of the most influential Albanian writers of the 20th century due to his epic masterpiece ''Lahuta e Malcís'' and the editor of two of the most authoritative magazines after Albania's independence, ''Posta e Shypniës'' and ''Hylli i Dritës''. Notably being the chairman of the commission of the Congress of Manastir, which sanctioned the Albanian alphabet, he was part of the Albanian delegation to the Versailles Conference, 1919. In 1921 he was a member and became the deputy chairman of the Albanian parliament, later on in the '20s and the '30s he was among the most influential cultural and literary figures in Albania.
